How to Lose Weight Like Tyra Banks
Recommended Answer:
Only refined cooking oils (of all types) are unhealthy for us, and are the true "bad fats" of the human diet (which is why almost all processed/prepackaged foods are so unhealthy (read ingredient labels), along with restaurant foods). Cold-pressed/raw virgin oils (coconut, olive, etc.) of all types are perfectly healthy and vital to the body in a variety of ways in proper moderation - assuming that they are used properly (not overcooked).Approx. 25-35% of your daily calories (spread out over the day) should be coming from unrefined, healthy whole food fats (or cold-pressed/raw virgin oils), and without healthy fats in our meals we only absorb/utilize a fraction of the nutrients from foods that we otherwise would. Healthy, unrefined fats of all types play many important fuctions in the body, and low/no fat diets are simply unhealthy and self-destructive over time.Since no healthy cold-pressed/raw virgin oil can withstand temperatures greater than about 350F, nothing cooked with oils is healthy past those temperatures. Refined oils can withstand greater temperatures, but they are already innately unhealthy due to the adulteration of the refinement process, so it's a wash either way at that point. If being overweight and accumulating excess body fat is what you fear, then cutting refined sugars and most grain foods (bread, pasta, cereal, crackers, etc.), along with ALL refined oils and sugar-laden drinks (including fruit juices), out of your diet should be the first thing that you do. Those are the foods most likely to instigate body fat weight gain (and destroy health) in a diet.Other Answers:
- Exercising works but where's the time for that right?!
- Some oils are important in providing a small amount of fats your body needs for nerve function. If you eat a small amount of a good quality olive oil or cook with peanut oil you'll be fine. Olive oil especially has heart health nutrients too.
- Olive oil and coconut oil are more healthy, and are actually good for us. Some oils are not good for us like the highly processed and over produced ones. It's probably a good idea to avoid fried fast food in the future. But I don't think you're anorexic, especially since you eat twice a day.
