I'm trying to gain weight, but not sure how?

I've been skinny all my life, i'm 19, girl, 5'10 and 115LB's. I like to be active, i work out (Lift) 1-4 times week, and I take my dog for walks, and i also ride my bike on a tougher gear maybe 1-3 times a weekI don't really watch what i eat, i eat whatever i want, and i eat a lot... Mostly carbs, pasta, bread, peanut butter, fruit etc. Not too much of a meat eaterI have a fast metabolism... WIll all this exercise make me lose weight? or tone me? I want to get toned muscular legs.

How to Lose Weight With Insulin Resistance

Recommended Answer:

Cardiovascular workouts (running, riding your bike, etc) will give your strong legs but it will also make it hard to gain weight because you burn a lot more calories doing cardio then lifting, but to counter this you need to figure out how many calories of the right food you need, there's thousands of plans you can look at online, cause you need to take in more calories then your workout is burning or you won't gain anything. Usually a 4000-5000 calorie diet does the trick but it's take months to gain like 10 pounds, be smart and healthy about it though, to many calories or to much working out is very unhealthy

Other Answers:

  • If you want to gain weight but still be toned, eat a ton of protein. This comes easily with meat, not your Burger King or McDonald's patty, but 100% real meat. Once you consume enought protein and carbs, plus a harder workout, you may see results in a few weeks. Unless your metabolism Is too fast
