How many calories should I try to burn daily?

Last year I got into a very good routine and lost around 15-20 lbs, I weighed 180-185 at the time. After the weight lost I weighed about 165-170 and it felt wonderful. I lost the weight by doing regular exercises like running, sit ups, push ups and stretching and such for awhile, then getting on Just Dance and Wii Sports. On Wii sports, I started to really like boxing, and I noticed it really worked out my arm muscles wonderfully, no more chicken wings hahaAnyway this year I gained it all back and I hate myself for it. I weigh around 180, I'm 5'6 and I'm 15 years old. I'm really sort of big-boned I guess. Just like a medium build, unlike most girls. I think I have a little more muscle than most girls as well. So here's my question. How many calories should I aim to burn a day? I think my goal of food intake is about 1000-1300 calories a day, depending on how good I am. I just started a new routine of waking up early instead of at like 1pm and exercising right off the bat to get my metabolism going and to get it out of the way. I also feel that if I exercise in the morning I'll feel good enough not to overeat. Is this a good workout strategy? I woke up and did about 30 min regular exercises, then I played Just Dance for 30 min. I might ride my bike later tonight and burn more calories. I would like some input, thanks. Any tips are welcome :)

How to Lose Weight as a Kid

Recommended Answer:

Burn as many as you can! (3500p) divided by D=c P for pounds you wants to lose, d for days you want to lose it in, and and the C will equal your calorie intake per day to create your goal.

  • Try out losing about 500 calories. I would suggest taking in 2000 calories & losing 1000. That's what I usually do! Haha. Good luck! :)
