How do you count calories if you want to gain weight?

So I'm like 21 and I weigh 105 pounds. I have like an athletes body but not the oversized muscle type of athlete. Just the small size athletes with some fat like lower body fat. Anyways, I been trying to gain some weight. I know there's proteins and stuff, don't offer me pills and whatnot. I just want to know how to gain weight by counting your calories. Kind off like how people LOSE weight by counting calories. I mean, how do I measure that? Do I just take my weight, average out how much calories will keep my body the same, and then double it? lol idk. I'm just trying to gain some weight. Like how much calories does the average person need to take a day. How much MORE than the average person do you need to take if you have fast metabolism and want to gain some extra pound. I work out. But not to lose weight, but to gain muscle weight. I'm a girl. I do leg workouts like squats to get thicker leg muscle and stuff. What do you think? How can I calculate or gain weight.

I am almost 17 and i weigh between 102-105 lol and i have a fast metabolism. And average person needs 2,000 calories a day. If you eat over that i am sure you will gain weight... I have tried but it never works lol, so i just stay happy with how i am. But muscle weighs more than fat anyways. Just eat healthy and eat as much as a person should eat calories and continue working out, you are sure to gain weight. I think by adding it up tho is you count by what it says under caliries on a can or bag.. But also look at amount per serviing. If u drink a can of pop its like 150 per can. Per can you drink, thats how much calories you have had for the day. Just jeep a record of everythig you eat. And say amount per servibg is 6 chips. And its say... Idk 300 calories. You ate 12 chips. Add 300 + 300 and get 600 calories. Im sure this is how it works lol. But hope i helped and good luck!!
