Quit smoking but gaining weight? help!?

I''m a 19 year old girl and i have been working really hard to lose weight. i started about a year ago but took a few breaks in between. i have lost 30 pounds so far and currently weigh 145. i have been smoking for 2 years and decided to quit to make it easier for me to work out. i wasn''t really addicted, more of a casual smoker... about 2-4 cigs a day. well i haven''t had a cigarette in over a week and even though i workout 6 days a week and eat healthy (I''ve been losing 2 lbs/ week and lost 10 since last month) but i just weighed myself today expecting to have lost another 2 pounds since last week like i have been but gained 3!!!! :( there is no way i could possibly gain weight how i am eating and working out, it''s gotta be from quitting smoking right? how do I continue to lose weight but not go back to smoking?? someone please help me :(

Lose Weight the Right Way and Keep it Off

First, congrats on the weight loss and hard work! Try popping a mint in your mouth when the craving comes. Not only will it help to the desire slightly but the great breath to go with your new great lifestyle is a plus! After 2-3 weeks most habits are almost completely able to be broken so try to keep that goal in mind:)

  • Just let your body adjust to the change.. Don freak out and get stressed.. Stress does no good in weight loss.. Just do what you are doing and your efforts wil show...
  • Giving up smoking doesn not gain you weight, thats all muth and all in your mind

you may be compensating for your addiction by eating irregulary.
try eating smaller portions and more healthier options
do daily cardio of 30 minutes

    cheers
