I have some extra belly fat that I want to get rid of?

You can''t lose fat in one place. You can tone muscles in your abdomen (your ''abs'') but you can''t reduce belly fat. The reason you have fat there is because your body stores fat there. For guys it''s usually the belly, for women it''s often the butt and thighs. The only way to get rid of it is to lose weight, to reduce fat in general.

Exercises, as we think of them generally, are to strengthen and build certain muscle groups. Sit-ups or ''crunches'' strengthen the abdominal muscles, and some of that might help--at least you''d have a nice firm stomach underneath all that fat. 8^) But better would be what we call ''cardio'', just general exercise to get your heart pumping and burn some calories.

I lost about 30 pounds in the last year or so. I didn''t even really notice until I went to a doctor appointment and they made me get on a scale. I thought there must be something wrong with the scale! Then I began looking at pictures of myself from now and from a few years ago and the difference was really visible! I did this by bicycling. A friend moved away and left his bike with me for a few months, so I began riding it and I just sort of fell in love with it. I rode 5 miles at a time at first then 10 miles, and now on weekends I go on a 20 mile ride (which is not as long as it sounds, once you get used to it. REAL riders go 30-40 miles!) I couldn''t do it if it was ''required'', I only do it because I really enjoy it. My belly has shrunk so much that my pants hang on me, I have to wear suspenders (braces you call them).

  • Brisk walk for 20 minutes 5 times a week. Don''t drink soda, and eat at a caloric deficit.
  • Crunches lots and lots of crunches it''s the best belly work out.
  • Run. - food and run, the an exercises are the last on the list, I''ve looked into his for a long time and everything leads down to those 2- I''m in the process of doing just that and its working miracles for me but u have to run atleast 3x a week around 40 min a day- give it a few months before u see results and don''t get discouraged

    1: STOP SNACKING it works. If you cut snacks out of your diet you will lose body fat.

    2: Try hypnotizing. Download a hypnotize to lose weight app. Or listen to one on the computer.

    3: Do ab workouts. Look up some online. *Download this app called "workouts"*

    4: If you eat french fries eat mashed potatos instead.

    5: Keep a log of how much you exersize. *Download a journal app*

    6: Exersize while you watch T.V.

    7: Set goals

    8: Keep playing sports

    9: Check your BMI on a BMI calculator online.

    10: Find a thinspiration. Mine is the real life anime girl (seriously! I think she helped me lose weight!)
