they realize how hard it is.. an they decide its not realistic for them - if you stop eating your metabolism slows down and if you eat too much it will slow down as well. you have to have food from every food group and a certain amount of calories in your day and even if you remain in your calorie range you still cant eat foods like candy, mcdonalds, and other sugary foods. its very hard to lose weight it all depends on your metabolism and some people just have a slower metabolism. starving yourself will make you gain weight unless you do it along enough to become anorexic but then you just risk your life and you''ll either have to eat again and gain more weight or eat and gain tons of weight

They didn''t gain weight overnight, but seem to think there''s a way to lose it overnight. Just stop eating isn''t the answer, it falls into the category of "quick fix". The problem with the "quick fixes" is that it''s only temporary and they gain the weight back and then some. Healthy is the way to go.
