Tired from Vegetarian Diet?

I''ve been vegetarian for about a week now.

I''ve learned how to make vegetarian sushi, lentil soup, many unique and fun tofu dishes. I''ve also have been more fruits and veggies than ever before!

However, even though I feel like I can eat more, I am still losing weight.

I''m losing weight and I''ve been feeling really tired and burned out lately. I''m a college student, and I study all the time. I also exercise, and I''m afraid I am not balancing out my protein and other vitamins well enough.

I''m thinking of giving up this vegetarian diet - at least until school is over in a month, and then start again on this during summer vacation when I don''t need to stay so focused and need the energy to perform at my best.

I''m not fat, so weight loss isn''t really something I care about atm. If I lose 5 pounds I''ll be like "oh cool, I''ve lost 5 pounds", but if I lost 10 pounds, I''d probably try and put a couple of pounds back. So ya, the recent weight loss means nothing to me.

My question is: Why am I feeling tired? Is it because I changed my eating habits? How long will I feel this sense of ''tiredness and faster than normal weight loss''?

I mean like, I''m not vegan. I''ve still been drinking about 1 cup of non-fat milk daily. Milk was the only deciding factor that kept me from going all-blown-out vegan.
I''m a 4.0 GPA student, but I think I didn''t get my first A yesterday in a quiz because I''ve been feeling really tired lately? For this reason alone, I''m thinking of going back to being an omnivore so that I can focus again on my studies better.

Also, I take B12 vitamins daily, but nothing else aside from that.

Tips for Losing Weight Fast - Burn the Fat or Eat the Muscle?

The first time you try to go vegetarian you will feel tired. I''ve been a vegetarian for 8 months now due to health issues and you feel great after the first month. Just drink whey protein or eat more nuts and dairy to increase your protein intake. Also, I can still eat fish but I dont know if you are up to that and eating like tuna salad gives me some protein when needed.

  • You will only get worse. Humans did not evolve to eat a vegetarian diet and I''m telling you this as a former vegan of over a decade. We evolved to eat meat and real protein. Not legumes, grains, soy, processed unsatisfying filth that vegans and vegetarians eat. To just survive you''re going to have to live in denial and take tons of supplements. Thats not a life worth living. Just go back to the diet you were meant to eat. Why deny your human nature? Look into paleo/primal. I''m the strongest and healthiest in years since adopting this lifestyle.

Also Madison you are proof that vegetarianism doesn''t work. You still have to have fish which is not vegetarian... It is still meat, lol.
