I want to lose about 20 pounds by July. Can you give your opinions?

Hi! So for more info, I''m a 16 year old girl, I''m 5''5'''' and weigh roughly 150 pounds. Also, I''m a medium build. I would like to lose 20 or so pounds by July. I''m thinking about jogging/running about 4 times a week for 45-60 minutes each time. I''m also thinking about doing Pilates 3 times a week, possibly more. I''m currently doing research on how to eat a bit more healthily. Do you guys think that this is reasonable? Should I add anything? Any tips? I''m basically a beginner runner as well. Thank you all for your answers c:

First of all hey ;}. Im 16 nd a guy btw. Haha. Awight thats definitely a reasonable goal. Not watching wat u eat can easily make this way more difficult. Dnt over work your body. If your not used to this much exercise start off jogging first cuz u could snap some shiFt. Nd if u pull a muscle or twist ur ankle (very easy to do for begginers) ur gonna have to recover nd ultimately hinder your progress :/ Cut out all tha sugary drinks nd powerade nd stuff. Feed your body with the all nutrients nd vitamins it needs. Nd ur already at a good weight im 5''6 nd 170. Nd were still growing soo yeah having a Healthy body is kinda first priority? The body runs on Protein, Carbs, and Fat. I eat more than i burn(a caloric surplus) cuz im making (muscle) gains. To lose weight you need calorie deficiency(burn more cals than you eat). Slow and steady wins tha race.Good luck mah niqqah :). Hope i helped!

  • That seems reasonable to me.
  • Use more calories than you consume = Weight loss
  • You''ll only lose the pounds if you actually do the exercise and eat somewhat healthy, everyone with a common education knows what a good diet is.

If you''re really desperate then eat 100 sour warheads because it will screw up your tongue and you won''t be able to eat for about a week
  • If youre a begginer jogger youll never survive for 45 minutes of pacing. So increase with time
  • Jogging 45 minutes a day for a beginner is unreasonable, you''ll hurt yourself and won''t be able to continue. Safe and healthy weight loss is about 1.5 lbs. a week so you can probably get close to your goal. Some of this depends on what you''ve ben eating. It''s harder for a healthy eater to lose than for someone whose diet is very high in salt, fat and sugar. Your best bet might be to drop all sweets and processed foods, lower the carbs, increase the lean protein and do about half the exercise you''ve listed in your question. Drink a lot of water, cut out all soda (including diet drinks that mess with your insulin levels), alcohol and limit the caffeine. Also don''t get obsessed, healthy is a lifetime thing not a quick fix to squeeze into a dress for one event. Good luck.
