How long until I see a difference?

Hi, Im trying to get more "toned" (I guess that''s the right word) thighs. I''ve been looking ways to lose weight and help my legs become stronger. Each time I search for help, squats come up. So I''ve been doing squats (about 200 a day) for a week. Is this too little? Is squats an effective way to help tone thighs? Im not sure if putting my height or anything would help.. But just in case Im 5''4 , Im 14. I want/need better legs for Dance. Please help. Thank you!

Why Had I Stopped Losing Weight?

If you are wanting to get stronger legs i would suggest doing more cardio. The best i find at least would be to run on a treadmill ( outside is even better) try to run on an incline that''s the best. As for squats 200 reps is a bit of an overkill i would say. if your not using weight you are not doing very much other then working on your form. If you are not able to go to a gym then it can be pretty difficult to work out your legs. In my opinion running would be your best guess if you cant go to a gym.
