Well, first of all, you are a normal 13 year old girl. When we look at ourselves in the mirror we tend to only see the imperfections. That is NOT a good thing. By seeing ourselves only for the problems we want to fix we miss a lot of perfect parts. This tends to lead to eating disorders, unhealthy eating habits and even obesity. You are at an age where everything is changing so quickly from week to week, and it is changing for all of your friends as well. This is a very critical time in setting good habits. Go to your doctor for a physical evaluation before starting any type of weight loss regime, eat 4-5 small meals throughout the day as opposed to 3 normal sized meals and always drink plenty of fluids. Preferably water, and exercise sensibly. I am a 66 year old nurse, I am also an x bulimic (I threw up to maintain a low body weight) since age 9. I am 5'9+" tall and at age 32 I was hospitalized for a collapsed stomach and I weighed 78 pounds. If anyone were to ask me that very day what I would love to do, I'm sure I would have replied "lose this stomach". It was a very trying time in life , very secretive, very lonely and extremely misleading with my personality. You don't ever want to be like I was honey. Zumba/Sumba (not sure of the correct spelling) dance is the exercise of choice for anyone wanting to address any part of their body they are not happy with. It is invigorating, fast paced and extremely effective and the results start to show immediately. Give it a shot that tummy will be flat as can be by next month guaranteed. But remember this is a routine you must stick to if you have weight issues, like food and want the healthy approach to this. If you find that this is too difficult for you take it back a bit, you don't have to lose all your weight in one day right? If for any reason you feel you are leaning toward a distorted body image causing you to make unhealthy choices, please, I can't stress this enough, please seek medical attention. Your body is a beautiful thing, protect it, guard it with your heart and your heart will thank you for it by letting you feel beautiful all the time ok. So you go for that physical, get a journal, write down your positive and negative points and the approach you plan to use to correct it. Run it by the doctor, if all is well with your physical health and you get the go ahead for your plans, go for it, knock yourself out. Make every minute of flattening that tummy of yours enjoyable, and not all "Mexican" food is bad for you generally it is the procedure used to prepare it that causes the calories to soar to those delicious levels right. It's a training method which raises your heart rate to its max and you burn calories long after you've finished training. An example is whilst on a treadmill or road, run as fast as you possibly can for 30 seconds or a minute and then very slow jog/ walk for 2 minutes and repeat 6 times !

And just keep in your mind that if you really want to loose weight then your stick to the diet you give your self. Have have to work for it if you really want it
