Should I wait to get a chest piece until after I lose weight?

I'm currently losing weight and doing a good job so far with 25 pounds lost in a month and a half. I would love to get a chest piece (chest tattoo) but I hear it would be warped by the time I get to my target weight. I'm 6'3" and I'm aiming to lose over 100 pounds. Any help would be appreciated.

How to Calculate Calorie Intake to Lose Weight

Recommended Answer:

1. Set a realistic weight-loss goals. One-half a pound to 2 pounds a week is about right.2. Keep track of what you consume. Dieters who keep track of everything they eat lose twice as much weight as those who don't, research shows.3. Motivate yourself. Get a pair of jeans or pants that are too tight and hang them in the kitchen instead of the closet to keep yourself inspired.4. Enlist the help of family and friends. Dieters who have support from a partner at home lose more weight than those who don't, studies show.5. Move it to lose it. Research shows that people who do physical activities such as walking or biking for two to four hours a week during weight-loss efforts lose extra pounds.6. Pay attention to portions. A 3-ounce portion of meat, poultry or fish is about the size of the palm of your hand or a deck of cards; 1 teaspoon of butter or margarine, a standard postage stamp; a cup of cold cereal, berries or popcorn, a baseball; 4-inch pancake or waffle, the diameter of a CD.7. Clean out your pantry and refrigerator. Get rid of the foods that sabotage your weight loss.8. Create "a dinner deck." This would include 10 favorite quick and healthful dinners written on index cards. Each card should list the ingredients for the recipe on one side and directions for making it on the other.9. Avoid hunger. Eat regular meals and snacks. Make sure you have some protein foods such as yogurt, tuna, beans or chicken for most meals. Research suggests that protein helps you feel full longer.10. Keep produce on hand. Place a bowl of vegetables such as broccoli, snap peas, cucumbers or carrot sticks in the refrigerator. You can eat them as a snack or when preparing meals to take the edge off your hunger.11. Stock up on "impulse fruits." Keep things like grapes, clementines, small apples, small bananas and pears around the house. These foods are easy to eat without having to do much cutting and slicing.12. Make some stealth changes. This will get everyone in the family eating healthier. Buy low-fat 1% or skim milk, low-fat cream cheese and reduced-fat cheese instead of the full-fat versions. Use them in recipes to cut the fat and calories.13. Cut out liquid calories. Eliminate soda and sugary drinks such as sweetened iced tea, sports drinks and alcoholic beverages. Liven up the taste of water by adding lemon, lime, cucumber or mint. Choose fat-free and 1% low-fat milk.14. Practice the "Rule of One." When it comes to high-calorie foods, you won't go wrong if you allow one small treat a day. That might be one cookie or a fun-size candy bar.15. Pace, don't race. Force yourself to eat more slowly, and savor each bite.16. Hydrate before meals. Drinking 16 ounces, or two glasses, of water before meals may help you eat less.17. Downsize plates, bowls, glasses, silverware. Using smaller versions of your serving ware will help you eat less food.18. "After 8 is too late." Adopt the motto for snacks after dinner.19. Buy a pedometer and get moving. Health experts recommend taking at least 10,000 steps a day, which is roughly 4 to 5 miles, depending on your stride length.20. Treat yourself occasionally. If your chocolate craving is getting to you, try diet hot-chocolate packets. If you need a treat, go out for it, or buy small prepackaged portions of ice cream bars. If you love chocolate, consider keeping bite-size pieces in the freezer.Family Fitness Challenge logo21. Dine at a table. Eat from a plate while seated at a table. Don't eat while driving, lounging on the couch or standing at the fridge. At restaurants, ask for a doggy bag at the beginning of the meal, and pack up half to take home. Take one roll and ask your server to remove the bread basket from the table.22. Eat out without pigging out. Figure out what you are going to eat in advance of going to the restaurant. Order the salad dressing on the side. Restaurants usually put about one-quarter cup (4 tablespoons) of dressing on a salad, which is often too many calories. Best to stick with 1 to 2 tablespoons. Dip your fork into the dressing and then into the salad.23. Get plenty of sleep. Scientists have found that sleep deprivation increases levels of a hunger hormone and decreases levels of a hormone that makes you feel full. Lack of sleep also plays havoc with your fat cells, recent research showed. This can lead to overeating and weight gain.24. Weigh yourself regularly. That's what successful dieters and those who manage to maintain weight loss do. Some step on the scales once a week. Others do so daily. Some find once a month is enough.25. Reward yourself. When you meet your incremental weight loss goals, say losing 5 pounds, treat yourself to something — but not food. Buy a CD or DVD you've been wanting or go out to a movie with a friend.

How to Lose Weight By Eating Fruits

Recommended Answer:

You should try lifting weights or other strength training (push ups, planks, squats, etc). It'll help you build a lot of muscle. You might not lose that much WEIGHT since you're gaining muscle, but it'll help you tone your body and lose fat. As long as you're healthy that's fine though.Running, while a quick way to burn fat, can be very hard on your body. But it might not be a bad idea to build up your cardio anyway. Try the bike or elliptical, or try running for short amounts of time and slowly building it up.Good luck!

  • drink lots of water...and start with walking long distances. You can run later but walking is so good for you. Try to walk 30 minutes a day fairly quickly.
  • Try diet with healthy foods and <1200 calories per days. Eat less and more meals. 30mins of exercise per day can be walking, running or swimming. Cheers!
  • Don't force yourself. I would suggest that you ask a doctor first if its okay and what work outs can you do that won't harm your health. Also eat healthy. No junkfood or soda. Drink lots of water, it helps your kidneys and it helps you stay healthy.
  • Do some walking, and really focus on a good diet. If you want to loose some weight quickly (I'm talking around five or ten pounds) in a few days, I would suggest a juice cleanse (check out this link: http://healthfulsummer.blogspot.com/2013/06/juice-cleanse-time.html), but otherwise, there is no quick solution to losing weight. It takes diligence and dedication. But with your kidney problems, I would talk to a doctor before starting any weight loss program.

How much weight could I lose on a 500 calorie a day diet?

I am 5'7 and weigh about 160 something and I want to lose 30-35lbs. I am thinking doing it for about 3 weeks. Do you think I could lose that much in 3 or 4 weeks with that diet and some exercise? I don't need anyone to lecture me about the side affects and how unhealthy it is.

How to Lose Weight Fast Without Buying Anything

Recommended Answer:

1. You have to estimate how many calories you burn daily (your BMI). There are thousands of special calculators online. You only need to know: your exact height and weight, how active you are.2. After calculating that you have to keep in mind that burning 7000 calories equals 2.2 lbs (1 kg) lost. 3. Say you burn 1600 calories a day (even though that is what a teenage girl burns, so you would burn much more). Subtract 500, the amount you eat, and you'll get 1100. So, in a week you'd be losing about 3 pounds.

Other Answers:

  • 500 calorie diet is like starving yourself. I wouldn't recommend it. You aren't going to get proper amount of vitamins/nutrients from that.
  • tht is not unhealthy at all but 30-35 does not take 3-4 weeks bro, its more like 10-15 pounds, but it depends on your eating too, need fruits and veggies. I hope this helps, but if you do gain 30-35 no offence i know your saying dont lecture me abt how unhealthy tht is but it kinda is but its impossible to lose 30-35 pounds in a month ): I hope this helps.

You can but you don't need to.Nobody needs a protein shake. We get all the protein we need from a complete diet of fresh whole foods from all food groups. There is a small window of time immediately after intense weightlifting, not cardiovascular exercise, where the severely damaged lean muscle tissue can use (not demand) extra protein.Marketers have taken advantage of this information and convinced consumers they NEED protein meal replacements to increase muscle size. And they are making a boat load of money selling the concept.Along the same lines the body uses more calories to digest protein than fats or carbohydrates. The total however is insignificant. 30 additional calories from a 100 grams of protein per day diet.Marketers have seized this information and convinced consumers that protein supplements cause weight loss. Again making a ton of money,Try a lean meat or tuna sandwich on whole wheat an hour before exercise. Again after. Or a hard boiled egg and a handful of raw nuts. Any combination of lean protein and a complex carbohydrate to extend the absorption time. This gives the body a consistent supply of protein. Muscle repair, rest, and new tissue growth occur 24/7, not only right after exercise. Many products promote all the amazing amino acids supplements contained along with creatine and L-arginine.The same amino acids, creatine, and L-arginine are available in chicken, lean beef, and beans - most any protein rich food. Marketing technique.A healthy complete diet and moderate exercise improve fitness, lower body fat percentage, and aid the development of new lean muscle tissue.Luck.

How to Lose Weight Fast and Keep it Off

Recommended Answer:

I'm done with my weight loss journey and completely happy with how I feel and how I look right now however losing weight is a challenge for anyone and even losing 5 pounds and keeping it off isn't an easy task. Also I bet you didn't know that 5 pounds of fat is about the size of 8 cheese burgers? That alone should be enough to make anyone want to get on the ball and start a change for the better. Weight loss can be really easy to learn but the problem is nobody wants to put the required effort that is needed to actually do it, instead people continually look for (easy) ways to do it. If there was an easy way to lose weight I don't think 35% of Americans would be obese. There was a time when I also wanted to lose weight and was tired of starting diets only to lose motivation and give up just a few weeks later after seeing no results. However, let me tell you it is literally one of the easiest things you will ever learn once you find a good and reputable place to learn it from and I say that only because the world is filled with magic diet pills, liquid flush diets and a thousand other quick fixes that promise xx pounds of weight loss in the first week and even though it is impossible they know you're going to do it because your desperate. I have probably tried every diet pill, liquid flush diet, and ab rocket machine known to man and have had no success with any of them nor do I know anyone that has ever had any success with them. I have also tried starving myself which works very well for the first few weeks' right before your metabolism comes to a complete stop and eating just the tiny bit makes you gain weight and you end up weighing more than you did before you started starving yourself. Companies promote weight loss to make money not to get people healthy again and that's because they know you're not going to be a customer and buy their products if you're no longer fat. http://fatloossfactor.com is a site I want you to go to when you have 10 or 20 minutes to spare and I want you to sit down and watch his video on weight loss. He helps people every day to lose weight I have never seen someone as committed as him and that will go so far out of his way to help someone. His weight loss program is one of the best I have ever had the enjoyment of doing and it is without doubt the best success I have ever had with any weight loss program. I also couldn't be happier with my body right now and I have never felt this wonderful in my whole life. In the end you just got to remember to stick with it and stay confident in yourself and in no time you can achieve the results you have always wanted. It's not hard to lose weight but most people have a hard time staying motivated and 9 times out of 10 it was because they weren't really committed from the beginning. Anyways I hope I helped you and I hope you make the commitment to change your body and life. Remember it's not easy to take the first step but you did, you're here right now taking it and the rest of the steps will fall into place. Have a wonderful day.

Steroids for a 17 yearold...? Productive advice?

Hello, I am 17 years old, and thinking about taking a cycle of steroids. Here is why... I have been working out on and off for three years now. I am roughly 135-140 lbs and I bench is aproximatly 215, squat is 250, hand clean 200. So, I am not so concerned with strength because compared to my body weight I am pretty strong already. But with football season comming around, (me being a running back) having a good bench and lifting weights is futile when you weigh 135 lbs and the first linebacker to get a hand on you ends your run. So naturally I am looking to gain weight, and/or increase strength. Now I know steroids are "bad" and it is not worth the "risk" and being 17 my hormone levels are already through the roof, believe me I know all of that... I don't have any health problems and no major health problems that run through the family so naturally I wonder if a small cycle could give me a little edge this football season with ten extra pounds. And before you ask, yes I do have a workout regiment and diet that I stand by religiously which include going to the gym every other day and lift heavy to naturally increase anabolic levels. My diet consists of a lot of carbs and over 3000 calories daily with the help of my protein mass gainer. I don't know what more I can do. So yes I am looking for fast results. I plan to use and not abuse the steroids I get. So, anyways, I was wondering what type of small quick cycle would be the best and how to go about this whole steroid thing. Thanks for the help.

How to Lose Weight Quickly Without Taking Pills

Recommended Answer:

Before you go to the juice (if you do), you shoud be eating like 5,000 calories a day and working out 3 hours a day, intesenly with no days off. Make it your religion.Take creatine, protein and all that. If you really wanted to you could cycle, but you would have to take the persons (gym rat, maybe you know someone on the football team with a source) word for it that that's what they were. You can't get it from a doctor (in all likelihood). If you want to, you could try or you could just do your best without the stuff and then move on to other goals that are more attainable.Otherwise, your whole life you'll be looking to cut corners when a ton can be accomplished when you walk the straight line. I would say pass ,but if you wanted to try it you could. It'd be a risk because a) you don't know what is. You would have to like inject it which could technically get infected. If you want to do it find a trustable person (I'm not sure that exists) who has done it before. Make sure you know what your doing and taking, it could cause hair loss, gynecostamia among other changes. Make sure your doing it as safe as it can possible be done if so.

  • ugggh people always say this! You gotta eat! you say oh im eating alot well eat more. then you say hey i gained weight but cant gain anymore, well eat more. And keep eating more and more until you start gaining weight. Some people with fast metabolisms have to eat 5000 to maintain your bodyweight. Why risk your health when all you got to do is eat? You are not doing all you can and want something that can help. I'm eating 4000 calories at the moment and have stopped growing which means one thing i i need to eat more.watch this:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0tnvmm_K1Uand skip to 1 min 50hey listen here "Chooch" what you talking about? I have a friend who trains MMA 4 hours a day and he eats 4000, that's four thousand calories and weighs 161 pounds. He also runs everywhere so yes you can have a huge diet and be very skinny. Talking about heart attack! maybe if all you did was sit on ya fat ass all day. And this is his bulk up where he eats so much he feels sick after meals, if he only eats when he was hungry he would be around 130-140 pounds.Do you understand now? when someone is so physically active and trains so much. You probably wont even believe this so i will give you an example you can check for your self. Michael Phelps a swimmer eats 12 thousand calories a day to maintain his weight and he is skinny. here take a look:http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2177613/Michael-Phelps-12-000-calories-day-dont-doing-harm.html
  • LOL so you want you're balls to shrink dude? If you take steroids that will happen and you will never have sex again.
  • Lol DK. You're right. His balls will shrink and he will never have sex again. Who don't want to have sex?
  • Just take creatine or go to Gnc and get something called amplified muscle mass xxxx
  • Are you joking us? I can't tell if you are sincere are not. First off, stereroids are highly illegal in high school sports and will tarnish any accomplishment you ever make. For example, I knew this guy who was incredibley jacked with a 400 lb bench press. No one respected him tho because they knew he took steroids in his 20s. Take creatine, it is the closest legal thing you will get to steroids. Many NCAA athletes use it. Do some research on it before you start.
  • You will break out in zits, you'll go bald, and your junk will shrink. 20 to 40 years down the road you'll lose and arm or leg to some rare cancer, have organ damage, or both.I know you're saying just one cycle but almost nobody stops once they start.
