Tips on how to loose weight?.. Read ahead....?

Ok so I am a 19 year old female of Native American ethnicity. Before I got pregnant my weight was at 132 for a 5'4 female, my frame was skinny - medium built. Since my pregnancy, my final weight at my 37 week check up (had my son at 38weeks). I was 184, I know! I gained a lot! But my son was a healthy 6 1/2 lb 20" baby. I went down to 170 at my 6 week PP check up. Then I just been a stay at home mother, now I am at 175. I have did the insanity for 2 weeks, lost 12 lbs! Amazing!! But after the two weeks, we started traveling & just never got in the workouts :( I would have been finish this saturday! But my main concern is, how could I tone my body? I have fat arms & a flabby tummy. So disgusting!! Is there any way I could actually lose & just a tone? I don't want to be muscular or 'butch', i just don't like that look. For some ladies they do, but i just don't. Please, any advice from trainers? Or anyone who made a complete transformation? I know I can get back to my flat tummy, tone legs & arms, I'm just having a hard time lossing :(

Here's a very strong and well muscled woman. She came away from the 2012 Olympics with the most medals in artistic gymnastics for male or females. Regardless, exercise is not the key to fat loss. Diet is.Any exercise will burn calories but no exercise will burn fat unless your diet allows it. You can burn fat in your sleep or you can run all day and never burn any fat. It all depends on your diet. Fat loss is determined by calorie control, not by exercise. Good exercises for burning calories are speed walking, biking, swimming, dancing, etc. and ANY other physical activity which makes you move a lot of weight for a long time. But NO exercise is good for burning fat if you eat too many calories because you can always eat more calories than you can burn but you can't always burn as many as you take in.Too many people waste energy and time because they do not understand this one simple point. The result is too often giving up in frustration, abandoning gym memberships they continue to pay for, and many other unnecessary problems not the least of which is a lack of success. An average person must walk about five miles every day for a week to burn the calories equivalent to a pound of body fat. So, unless you think walking about five miles a day (or doing an equivalent amount of exercise) with no guarantee of fat loss makes sense, focus your fat loss program on diet.Diet for fat loss. Exercise for fitness. There is one cardinal rule of dieting (and thermodynamics) and that is: As long as your daily energy output exceeds your daily energy intake, you have to burn from your body (fat or lean tissue). The secret of fat loss is finding food items you enjoy that will keep you well nourished and feeling full without going over your BMR ( http://www.calculator.net/bmr-calculator.html ) in daily calories. To find out how the best minds in nutrition in the world (at the US NIH) have recommended for decades we lose fat, read my answer about how to lose fat --> http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=As615QJM4X_3ID9_05qmmlXty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20111028185603AAVcP4D Good luck and good health!!♠PS: Here are some good websites you may find useful.• BEST SEARCH ENGINE http://www.usa.gov• A MUST FOR DIETERS http://www.freedieting.com/• BEST DIET TOOL ON THE WEB http://www.myfitnesspal.com/

Why do I have rolls when I sit?

I'm a 5'9" male, I have a pretty good work-out routine and I'm in shape and when standing up I'm fine. But whenever I sit I have rolls on my stomach that just won't go away, they cover my belly button and create lines after sitting for awhile. I never can sit down in a bathing suit cause I'm too self conscious about my stomach. Does anyone have some diet tips or workouts that I should try to even it out?I weigh about 135-140 lbs

"When it comes to losing weight, you are always going to have to sacrifice something in order to see satisfactory results. Typically, you do not need to completely deprive yourself of most of your favorite foods. While dieting, many sweet snacks can still be enjoyed when eating in moderation. However, some food is so unhealthy that even a bite is too much.1. Fast food:2. Potato chips:3. Soda:4. Candy bars:5. Ice cream:6. Delivery pizza:7. Bacon:8. Hot dogs:9. Sausage:10. • That is the natural needed to live fat that layers over your bones. (Allowing your body to maintain a healthy routine of movement). That is just the It does not mean your fat that is supposed to be there.
  • That's normal. It is directly associated with your body fat %. The stomach and thighs are where your fat will concentrate most. Eat less sugars, which are unfortunately in almost everything. The only way to get to where you won't have any rolls, you will need to lower your body fat percentage into the single digits... But don't worry, seriously. It's completely normal, and a healthy body fat percentage, you have more energy.
  • Don't be self-conscious, babe. A lot of people have that little roll and they're pretty healthy :) as long as you're fit and eating healthy then it shouldn't matter. And as long as you don't think about that little roll, others won't even notice it ;)

How to Lose Weight After Kids

In just one month you can lose more than 10 lbs. Walk for one hour a day, early in the day so your metabolism will be speeded up for the entire day (burns those calories off the body). Drink 8 cups of water (not coffee, not juices or pop) during the day. Stop drinking sugar drinks forever! They are very bad for your health and sugar has lots of calories. The caffeine-laced drinks like the one you mention are also a no-no. Just water. You can drink green tea that has no caffeine in it, for a hot drink. No fatty foods and deep fried foods. Way too many calories and you will clog your arteries and could cause yourself to have a stroke some day. No fries, tear the greasy coating off the deep fried chicken, tear the skin off baked chicken, eat fish without the greasy coating (fish tastes great baked in the oven or in a pan with just a bit of water and herbs of your choice sprinkled over it).Keep walking past the ice cream counter and do not have sweets like cookies and muffins. Eat lots of fresh fruit and a variety of vegetables. Carrot sticks are great to chew on, and apples are so tasty. Eat your favourites. Salads are good, too but lay off the sauces and dressings. (Instead, shake on some wine vinegar.)Cut down on the amount of bread you eat, and do NOT slather on a lot of butter, margarene or cheese spread or peanut butter. No waffles. No chicken pot pies -- they contain lots of fat and salt (very bad for everyone) and the pastry is also full of you know what (fat and salt and carbohydrate).Sounds like you are eating out of the frozen food section of the supermarket.Do not be discouraged. Write down what you are about to eat every day before you eat it. That will make you think before eating that thing you thought you wanted. You can get a calorie chart if you wish, that will tell you how many calories are in a certain item. Do not allow yourself more than 1200 calories a day for a diet. You will not starve. Just eat the right food choices and you could feel full all day. And drink that water to get the weight loss. You will lose at least 2 lbs. the first week. You must do the walking, too. If you can only fit in half an hour in the morning, do it! Make sure you get the other half hour in every day. You will not believe how much better it makes you feel!Best wishes to you, from someone who has been there!

  • cut your calories in halfcut the processed foodsthe sugary foodsjunk foodsan start running 40 mins 4-5 days a weekan eat more vegetables, lean proteins, an fruits
  • Try having breakfast in the morning and have bran flakes or 2 witabix with your own fruit on top, then have a morning snack such as 3 oat cakes or a boiled egg, then have lunch, try to avoid bread because bread usually bloats you if you have to much! Then have a afternoon snack and the have a healthy tea, try not to eat after 6:00 and make sure you drink at least 7 cups of water a day because this will help burn fat! And try doing sit ups every morning and night, another good exercise is jumping rope because this works all your body, I have done this myself and lost a stone so it does work!

Am I burning enough calories in a day to lose weight?

So far I've lost about 18 pounds I believe. I am on a 2400 caloric diet. This is a decrease from what my caloric intake used to be. I drink nothing but water, I don't use salt, and I don't use extra sugar for anything. If I use a sweetener it is a tablespoon of honey. I have been counting my calories and I normally stay around 1500-1700 calories a day, and sometimes I will hit 1900. When I do my workouts I burn about 800-1000 calories in a day. YES, I know this is a lot of calories to born in a day, but I am obese, of course, and I work hard. I normally do 45 minutes of tae bo, 30 minutes of hip hop and and ill take a brisk walk at a 3.5 pace. When I put all of my information into my calorie counter (MyFitnessPal) it tells me that I've burned X amount of calories. If I want to lose at least a pound or 2 a week, am I doing the right thing? Should I increase my exercise? I don't want to lower my caloric intake because I feel that it's appropriate for my weight.
