How to Break a Weight Loss Plateau

Recommended Answer:

You should loose weight no faster than you gained it in the first place. Eat less and exercise more. You want to lose fat, not muscle.

Other Answers:

  • Eat better/portion control/regular exercisethat is really it. but you have to dedicate yourself..
  • Dont "eat less", Eat the right foods. Switch to a vegan diet and find a good exercise plan. For an exercise plan check out : http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/find-a-plan-fat-loss-2039-female.htmlDieting Advice check out: http://vegweb.com/

Women - did your thighs get bigger when you were pregnant?

I am six months pregnant, and it seems like before my belly showed, my thighs and hips got bigger straight away. Even before 3 months, I lost my thigh gap and my butt was bigger. I have always been physically active and I was proud of my toned muscular thighs and my small thigh gap.But now, at six months, I have no thigh gap, and my legs are so much bigger that I can't even get my old shorts up around my hips :(I feel gross. I just got my baby bump about 3 weeks ago, but it's like the first place I stored fat was my thighs and butt. I can't even see my hip bones anymore, I am super depressed about all of this.I feel guilty that instead of being excited about my so far healthy baby girl, all I am obsessing about is how fat and ugly I feel (even though everyone says I am tiny for 6 months) - I just started wearing maternity clothes this week.I just want to know if it is normal to have put on fat around my thighs and butt area (even though I've been bike riding and walking regularly). I've gained about 15-20 pounds so far at 6 months and this is my first baby. When the baby is born and I breast feed, will I be able to easily get my old thighs back with exercise? So many women say your body is never the way it used to be (but I just want to be tiny again). Being tiny and petite is who I am and I miss it so badly.

How to Lose Weight Drinking Smoothies

I can't remember. Other things will seem more important when the kiddy's here, believe me. It was my tummy I worried about. I have a feeling yes your bum does get bigger. I think everything gets a bit bigger but pretty much disappears again soon after. After 6 months I was always back in the same size clothes as before

Other Answers:

  • Nope
  • At 6 months you are entering the third trimester of a healthy pregnancy, you have remained active and provided you keep up the exercise afterwards, you will quickly return to your old size. Your body image is focused on being thin rather than being healthy, you are still healthy, get a grip.
  • Get over it, you're going to be a mom and everything won't be about you. If you didn't want this to happen you shouldn't have gotten pregnant. You know how many women would DESPERATELY die to be in your shoes? Just shut up, enjoy your pregnancy with your husband (if you're married) and RELAX! Your baby will here in no time, then you'll lose the baby weight (if you take care of yourself now).

How to Lose Weight and Breastfeed

Recommended Answer:

30 - 40 lbs. Take it slow. Keep an eye on your nutrition, that's most important. Exercise seems good for now. Ramp it up as you lose weight. You'll also have to change your nutrition plan as you lose weight. Good luck buddy. I applaud you for your effort. Be patient and seek support as you continue on this journey. It's about creating new habits and lifestyle changes.

  • Erm i dont know
  • I lose around 10 lbs/month. I am a female who started at 221 lbs, and I am at 151 lbs now. So I mean because you are starting at a larger weight than what I started, I believe you can lose maybe 20 - 30 lbs/month in the beginning. There are online calculators to predict how long weight loss takes, how much you will lose by a certain date, etc. You could always put your information into those. Here are some I found in a search: http://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=ArTeCHQIy2hCgqsq38c1MkWbvZx4?p=weight+loss+goal+calculator&toggle=1&cop=mss&ei=UTF-8&fr=yfp-t-622
  • By september, maybe 10lbs is reasonable. By oct 6th I'd say you could for sure lose around 15-20 lbs. Good luck! way to take initiative. :)Mine please http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AtNr_NXJymmjn6cIcu_UDTAd53NG;_ylv=3?qid=20130807110740AAwwoUX
  • I'm done with my weight loss journey and completely happy with how I feel and how I look right now however losing weight is a challenge for anyone and even losing 5 pounds and keeping it off isn't an easy task. Also I bet you didn't know that 5 pounds of fat is about the size of 8 cheese burgers? That alone should be enough to make anyone want to get on the ball and start a change for the better. Weight loss can be really easy to learn but the problem is nobody wants to put the required effort that is needed to actually do it, instead people continually look for (easy) ways to do it. If there was an easy way to lose weight I don't think 35% of Americans would be obese. There was a time when I also wanted to lose weight and was tired of starting diets only to lose motivation and give up just a few weeks later after seeing no results. However, let me tell you it is literally one of the easiest things you will ever learn once you find a good and reputable place to learn it from and I say that only because the world is filled with magic diet pills, liquid flush diets and a thousand other quick fixes that promise xx pounds of weight loss in the first week and even though it is impossible they know you're going to do it because your desperate. I have probably tried every diet pill, liquid flush diet, and ab rocket machine known to man and have had no success with any of them nor do I know anyone that has ever had any success with them. I have also tried starving myself which works very well for the first few weeks' right before your metabolism comes to a complete stop and eating just the tiny bit makes you gain weight and you end up weighing more than you did before you started starving yourself. Companies promote weight loss to make money not to get people healthy again and that's because they know you're not going to be a customer and buy their products if you're no longer fat. http://fatloossfactor.com is a site I want you to go to when you have 10 or 20 minutes to spare and I want you to sit down and watch his video on weight loss. He helps people every day to lose weight I have never seen someone as committed as him and that will go so far out of his way to help someone. His weight loss program is one of the best I have ever had the enjoyment of doing and it is without doubt the best success I have ever had with any weight loss program. I also couldn't be happier with my body right now and I have never felt this wonderful in my whole life. In the end you just got to remember to stick with it and stay confident in yourself and in no time you can achieve the results you have always wanted. It's not hard to lose weight but most people have a hard time staying motivated and 9 times out of 10 it was because they weren't really committed from the beginning. Anyways I hope I helped you and I hope you make the commitment to change your body and life. Remember it's not easy to take the first step but you did, you're here right now taking it and the rest of the steps will fall into place. Have a wonderful day.

Why does adderall make you lose weight even if you're eating?

I've been on adderall a little over 2 weeks now. At first I thought the weight loss reason was obvious, beacuse it kills your appetite. However latetly I've been finding ways to eat such as in the morning before I take the pill or at night when my last dose had worn off. Despite eating more now, I am still losing weight. What causes this? I am overweight so any weight loss is welcomed lol I'm just wondering as to why this happens.

How to Lower Cortisol Levels and Lose Weight

Recommended Answer:

Medications like Adderall alter the way your body's metabolism works. In your case, it is likely speeding it up, causing you to burn more calories than normal. If you are losing more than a couple of pounds a week or the weight loss persists past a few weeks, call your doctor's office and let them know.

I'm 14 and I'm overweight please help?

I am 14 years old I'm 5'8" (178 cm) and I weigh 163 lbs (74 kg). I struggle to lose weight because I've become lazy. I've lost 37 lbs (17 kg) through out this year and I'm very happy but i want to lose just a bit more weight. I'd like to become about 145 lbs (66 kg) in the next 2-3 months if that's possible. If so please tell me how many calories i should be eating per day i think about 1250, and how many minutes of exercise i should be doing per day. I have a cross-trainer that i use every now and then and sometimes i go for a run, the cross trainer i use also has a calorie counter which i read on the internet is very accurate because it asks you for your age, height, gender etc. I can easily burn about 900 calories in 30 mins pushing myself but i don't see myself doing that everyday because sometimes i wake up tired and grumpy so all i want to do is sit down and play video games. I'm going to take this seriously please if you could just suggest some tips that could help me thank you.

How to Lose Weight by Swimming

Recommended Answer:

A brisk walk is a good calorie burner. Avoid junk food. Drink lemon juice. If you really want to play video games, then play those games which have actual physical interfacing. Nowadays nice video games are available which have actual physical participation and we can burn lot of calories unknowingly.

Other Answers:

  • Just keep on doing what you've been doing
  • Calories are just the smallest unit measure of energy. Carbs are stuff to worry about . Try to stay away from grains. No matter what the government tells you is healthy. They make the food pyramid out of money they earn from the farmers (grain and corn are most grown). Just run every morning (about 2-3 miles) and drink only water. No processed foods.

What is the physical process of getting a flat stomach?

Hello there,

So..I''ve been working out for 2 weeks. I know, changes don''t happen over night..but I was wondering what/where I should watch for to see if I''m working out correctly..?

I would just like to know where I should be losing fat around my body first and how will I know?

So far..right under my belly, I can feel it getting harder..but my belly is still out there (is that normal?)

About me:
-Female
-20 years old
-160 lbs
-5''1 or 5''0
-Apple shaped body/ beer belly?

Workout (6 days a week):
-Pilates- 1.5 hours
-Running/ Walking -2 hours
-Weight lifting-20 mins

(With all these, I feel my body burning in different places)

I cut out carbs and junk food from my diet.

(I want to lose 30 lbs in 3-4 months)

How to Lose Weight Without Losing Meat - The Weight Loss Program For Meat Lovers

Recommended Answer:
If you feel your abs getting ''harder'' it means you are building muscle underneath fat. I suggest you do a combination of strength and cardio (HIIT are the best) to get those abs out of hiding.
Because you are apple shaped, the last place you are going to lose fat from is your tummy. But don''t be discouraged! It''s great that you cut out junk food but don''t give up carbs entirely. (they are not as bad as some people say)
Also, don''t workout that much. 4-5 times a weeks, max 2 hours per day is more than enough.
Good luck!!

  • If you run every day or at least every other day for the next 3-4 months you will be epic.
Eat right, drink water instead of soda as much as you can, beer sucks, etc etc

Just get a sick playlist for your ipod and run at least a mile a day or some heart racing activity for 20 minutes a day. Get active.
