How much more weight am i supposed to lose according to my height?

.l'm hoping to lose some weight. Most of my friends are skinny .l'm 13 years old and my height is 5'4 and I weigh 55kg.l used to be 52kg and started gaining weight after I stopped exercising.well that's how much I weighed 2 weeks ago my weight might have increased to even more.

NONE! 55kg is 121 pounds, at your height that is considered to skinny on the BMI scale. I'm not telling you to go gain more weight but I don't think you should worry about anything at all! You're perfect just the way you are and to young to worry about that stuff!!

OK why do I binge eat then diet then binge?

Well it''s not binge eating as such it''s more confusing than that. OK my B.M.I is 24.3 well within the healthy range. 5feet 10 inches 170pounds. Or around 78.6 Kilos approx. I Eat what I like normally chocolate Crisps Pepsi, all the bad stuff. I eat until I have trouble fastening my shoes. Yep I Know weird. When I get that large I switch to a fish and rice diet white/Brown water instead of coke. Every meal I have is grilled I only eat cheese once a week grated on toast. The diet change doesn''t bother me and along with a walk after my tea I can lose around 10 pounds in 2 weeks I normally drop 20 pounds, when I am on a kick. It''s incredibly easy for me to lose weight, I know it isn''t for everyone but for me it is. My question I guess is why when I lose weight, do I then stuff myself and stop the exercise only to pile it back on within weeks and repeat the whole cycle. I am not body conscious I''m comfortable in my own skin when I need to change I do. But why do I always slip back consciously into bad eating habits I love my food I know that I have just munched my way through 2 boxes of Jaffa cakes in 15 mminutes but is this the only reason behind it could I change my mind set and stay slim instead of getting to like 70 kilos and heading up the scale.? Does anyone know if this is bad for my body?
@BECKY...I TAKE IT YOU MEAN obsessed lmfao. If you are going to be insulting at least learn to spell. Lmfao.
@Marisa
Hi thanks for the answer. If it''s a condition then what condition is it? What do I need to ask my doctor to cure me off and if you know that then why am I doing what I am doing?
Cheers.

Pssst! The Secret to Losing Weight

Recommended Answer:
You have an eating disorder, and what you are doing is very, very unhealthy. You are damaging your heart, your intestines, and the effects will last long after you stop your behavior. I suggest you seek help from a specialist immediately, as what you are doing is dangerous and can only get worse. I have seen two family members have their lives ruined by eating disorders, and I hate the thought of anyone else going through that. Get help, please.

LIVERPOOLS: You shouldn''t be lmfao''ing at anyone right now, you should be taking this seriously. Many women end up with heart disease from behaviors like this, you should focus on the people trying to help you, not people like Becky.

It is called a binge eating disorder, and is a bit harder to treat because it is so multifaceted. Treatment will include cognitive therapy addressing self-image, eating behaviors, and just trying to get to the root of why you do what you do. This is a reflection of things going on inside of you, some of which has nothing to do with weight...it''s about control, or being depressed, or feeling powerless. There are people to help; if you have insurance, look up mental health professionals in your network, and find one that deals with eating disorders. Even if you aren''t insured, there are doctors that can help. Do a search to find what doctors are in your area. When you describe your behavior, a specialist will know exactly what to diagnose you with and will begin treatment. This will be the best thing you''ve ever done for yourself, so good luck. :)

  • Your obbsesed
  • Your body is preparing itself for starvation mode

Why is it that so many people want to drop pounds without working out?

Not just on this site but all around me I see people wanting to lose weight without exercising or eating right. They want starve themselves,go on strange liquid diets, diet pills, every cheat out there. Yes, dieting and exercising is hard, very very hard, but it''s so much more rewarding to know your doing it right! I also don''t get all the questions about how they can lose excessive amounts of weight in a small amount of time. Is it a lack of dedication? Impatience?

How To Lose Weight Fast and Safely

Because they don''t know any better. If they new the proper methods of exercise and nutrition, they wouldn''t be fat in the first place.

  • Becuase being fit is fun, but working out isnt.

    The science:
Humans (unlike many animals) make short term judgments on things a oppose to long term judgment. Meaning: when we see working out, we think "no enjoyment". We don''t tend to think about the enjoyment we''ll get down the road.
  • Because people expect scientist to come up with a product that will make them healthy and fitter without putting the work in
Because why should they exercise if maybe some magical pill will do it for them (sarcasm)
  • To lose weight and keep it off, you need to make a permanent lifestyle change. Most people approach diet and exercise as something transitional, that they need to do "for a while." That''s why they''re more likely to adopt strange fads. Also, let''s be real: losing weight with a proper diet and lots of exercise is still REALLY HARD, especially if you have a lot of weight to lose, and many people who turn to fad diets have tried more conventional methods and failed.

Low-calorie diets are deprivation diets and those are bound to fail. When you exercise more, you get hungry, but you''re told to eat less. And everyone''s first piece of advice to a fat person is to eat less, but there''s an assumption that the person is fat because of over-eating. What if the fat person isn''t over-eating? Does he have to drop down to starvation rations just to lose weight? Eat less and exercise more, while seemingly sound, are a recipe for disaster.

So I get the fads. I also get that real change, the idea of fundamentally altering how you relate to food, how you organize your time, and how active you are, are difficult and scary.
  • Lots of reasons for that including lack of motivation, lack of self discipline, laziness and ignorance in some cases.

Also, in some rare cases it can be a genetic problem

If a person is genetically predisposed to be overweight, it can be extremely difficult to find the self discipline to change their body, but it can be done.

I guess that would mean that the primary reason is lack of self discipline.

Losing a lot of weight quickly is generally a bad idea and frequently it will be regained as quickly as it was lost.

This is why dieting alone doesn''t generally work.

To get to a specific weight requires self discipline and changing your entire focus as well as eating habits and activities.

How can I fit MORE calories into my day?

Yess, I want more calories!
I''m slightly underweight now plus I keep losing and I want to be thick or average sized again.
I usually only get 500 to 1,800 calories a day (I calorie count). I''m aiming for 2,800.
Its hard to find time to eat and I don''t have a lot of food availible.
Ensure and other protein shakes are just too much money.
How can I get more calories in my day? I feel like I''m starving myself to death.
Also, any weight gaining tips are appreciated.

(I''m not particularly worried about health right now, once I start gaining weight I will focus on healthy eating habits)

Thank you and I WILL be choosing a best answer (: 10 points!

10 Biggest Mistakes Made When Trying to Lose Weight

Recommended Answer:
Wow 500 is low haha. I''m underweight too and am really trying to gain weight so here are some tips:

Peanut butter and milk, a few tablespoons before you go to bed with a glass of milk is 600 calories right there. The milk makes the peanut butter go down really easy, and yes its healthy, good fats and protein for muscle building actually.
Pasta and chicken are good calories, buy some Sidekicks, about $2 each. Good 600 calories per bag.
Oatmeal and yoghurt for breakfast is great

And other than that just eat constantly! Good luck!

  • Eat as much of the food you have available as you can stand to in a single day, then do that every day.
  • steal sugar packets from a restaurant and have 100 of them per day.
  • Milk, milk, milk, and milk. Also do some chicken and hamburger meat. If you can afford it cheap steaks too.
  • If you''re super busy, eat during your travel times. Grains like pasta and bread and good for gaining weight. But honestly, the best way to gain weight is to eat junk food. A lot. But you''ll feel like crap and have low energy. But you said you didn''t care about health, so doughnuts, pizza, etc. are the best things for gaining weight
  • The best way to put on more weight is to eat more meals throughout the day. And your plan on focusing on eating healthy after you put some weight on is an extremely bad plan and will back fire on you terribly. You should start with eating healthy, it''s difficult to change eating habits, especially bad ones. Eat more complex carbs, like brown rice and whole wheat bread. Eat snacks like celery with peanut butter. Add more olive oil to your meals. Things like peanut butter and olive oil are healthy fats that will help you get to a better weight without clogging up your arteries. And keep in mind that even skinny people can get high cholesterol problems if they don''t eat right. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables and try go eat healthy fats like peanut butter, olive oil, and nuts.
  • Eat higher calorie foods. Like nuts, sugary cereals [sugar for high cal, but also have alot of vitamins and minerals]. Drink fruit juice too

16 Reasons to Lose Weight

Recommended Answer:
Doing an effective whole body conditioning and weight loss workout
can be done entirely at home without any fancy equipment. A couple of
dumbbells is all you will need. (Even if you don''t have dumbbells
there is usually something lying around the house that is heavy enough
to substitute in for them).
Here is a list of 20 exercises you can do right in your own home for
a great whole body conditioning and fat loss workout.

Exercises:

Group 1:

Bodyweight Squats
Bulgarian Split Squats
Y-Squats
Prisoner Squat
Reverse Lunge
Step Ups
One Leg "Get Ups"

Group 2:

Push Ups
Push Up and Point
Mountain Climbers
Decline Push Ups
Push Ups/Stick Ups
Step Up and Press
Squat and Press

Group 3:

Plank
Side Plank
Curl and Press
One Arm Rows
Bird Dogs
One Leg Deadlifts

Pick one exercise from each group and do them all back to back for a
mini circuit of 3 exercises. Do each exercise for a timed interval of
10 seconds for a total of 30 seconds per mini circuit.
As you get better at them work up to doing each exercise for 20
seconds for a total of 60 seconds per mini circuit.
Take 30-60 seconds rest between mini circuits.
For beginners do a total of 3 mini circuits to start. Working up to 4
or 5 as you get better at them.
Once you''re ready to move to the next level add a second mini circuit
by choose 3 different exercises (one from each grouping). Do your
second mini circuit with the same time of work to rest ratio as your
fist.
If you feel you are already at an advanced level you can add one or
two more mini circuits up to a total of 4 mini circuits. These 20
exercises are just an example of what is possible, there are dozens
more that would work in this mini circuit style, you can incorporate
any exercise that you like into these mini circuits. This style of
workout is a great complete whole body conditioning and fat loss
program you can do right at home in under 45 minutes.

  • You can do more exercises.
  • 1200 calories a day. You are short so that''s going to make things more of a challenge. Exercise is great, but it takes 1 mile run/walk/whatever to burn 100 calories which isn''t a lot. Weight loss is achieved through healthy eating.
  • zumba!! they have zumba vids on youtube!

What''s the best way to lose weight?

I am not too good on sit ups or press ups. So is there any way around it to lose weight and then be able to do press up and sit ups.

Lose Weight the Right Way and Keep it Off

Recommended Answer:
As far as situps and pushups are concerned, they''re not the best exercises for weight loss, especially situps. The best exercises for weight loss are those that stimulate all the muscle groups in a single exercise, whole body movements in other words. While pushups stimulate several muscle groups at once, they don''t stimulate them all, such as the legs. And situps isolate the abs - only one muscle group. Somebody said that they don''t help you lose weight, but that''s also wrong because ANY exercise burns more calories than no exercise at all. But really it''s mostly about your diet. Eat a little bit less calories than what your body burns in a day, and make sure they are healthy calories.

  • Sit ups and press ups don''t help you lose weight in the first place... they''re strength training.

You need cardio to lose weight; running/jogging/walking, cycling, aerobics, swimming, etc.

You also need to eat less calorie than your maintenance calorie needs: http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm

  • The best way to lose weight is a goof balmced diet and more exercise realative to the amour of calories you eat. You stomach is naturally the size of you''re fist and no more food is needed of else ur stomach will stretch. Balanced diet means every food group cutting out food groups does NOT work! Also when exercising do not over work. hope you find this helpful
  • Hi Jevaughn,

Yo know everything is not good for everybody. It varies from person to person. Regarding weight lose, though there are many ways but I think the standard way would be the intake of healthy foods according to your daily requirement, then may try exercises. Apart from this you may choose a weight loss program to get a compact result. For this I would like to suggest you to go through http://healthfulreviews.com to find your desired program. That would guide you a lot.
  • Cycling is good. It tones your bum, legs and its one of the best ways to lose weight because you can do it for a long amount of time and feel little fatigue.
Swimming is also affective. You won''t sweat and its difficult to get out of breath doing lengths in a pool. It can be quite relaxing as well.
Take the stairs instead of the lift. Little things like this will help.
Go for a jog? You could go with a friend to keep you motivated, or plug in your headphones to give you the buzz!
You could try a fitness club. They might require you to do situps/pressups but they could always teach you or improve you with them!
    Good luck:)

How much weight will I lose eating 50-100 calories for the next 3 weeks?

I know its stupid. I''m 116 pounds, 5''5. I don''t exercise because I''m more than busy. (Im so busy being on yahoo answers is like a big hunk of time)
I''m proud of my body, although my friend and I in our dorm room are actually doing a study in our human health class and we have to do a project on eating disorders, but more complex than you think, its also the psychology we''re researching.
We wanted to find out how much weight a female weight 116 height 5''5 would lose at eating 50-100 calories each day for the next 3 weeks for our diagram. kinda urgent, we''re to lazy for math xD
without exercise, too. thanks

How to Lose Weight Without Losing Meat - The Weight Loss Program For Meat Lovers

That''s extremely dangerous! I sure hope you''re not actually planning to carry out this experiment on yourself.

Keep in mind the body can end up going into starvation mode with that few calories and may cling to every little bit that''s taken in. It also depends on metabolism and genetics so there is no set formula to determine just how much would be lost.

  • Seriously, you will die with this diet. A woman your height and weight needs at least 1200-1500 calories. Anything less than 700 is dangerous.
  • lol this girl just wants attention

everyone go look at her posted questions...
