Will I gain weight if I eat more than 1200 calories?

Im 5'6 159 & 22. I started eating 1200 calories around mid June plus exercise but have not lost any weight!. I also cardio 40-60 minutes at least 3 times a week. I eat all healthy no junk food. I cant lose weight. I May have medical condition and my doctor did some tests but I will meet with him again in 3 Weeks. I entered my weight in a online calorie calculator and it says that I should eat 1300 to lose weight and that's if im sedentary which im not. It suggest that I eat 1500 calories. What should I do? If I eat more will i.gain weight? I think.my metabolism slow.

How to Lose Weight From Face

Recommended Answer:

1200 calories is rather low for a weight loss diet, so you shouldn't be eating less. 1500 sounds closer to the right amount for your age. You should be aiming for a loss of 1-2 pounds per week for healthy weight loss that won't come back later, like it does with fad diets. If it is possible that you may have a health condition, you should wait for the results, because your doctor may have a better diet recommendation for you to lose weight. In the meantime, continue to exercise and eat healthy, and you shouldn't gain weight while you wait for your test results! Good luck!
