Why do people think they can lose fat and gain muscle at the same time?

Im not sure who I should slap, the editors from Mens Helath or the bro-scientists over at GSP. Please learn this right now: after you calculate your TDEE (Total daily energy expenditure), anything above that will result in weight gain, anything below that will result in weight loss.Gaining muscle will result in some fat gains (can be reduced by introducing cardio)Aahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!
