Is this a good exercise routine?

Hello yahoo answers, I am an 18 year old guy. I ride my bike about a hour and half at about 12 pm, up some hills and not just a flat ride. Then at 9pm I job 4 miles on a eleptical in about 31-32 minutes. I no longer drink soda and not alot of junk food, no fast food. I'm 6'2 and 130 pounds. I take a break maybe one or two days a week. Is this a good exercise plan?

Here's your ideal weight range --> http://www.calculator.net/ideal-weight-calculator.html?ctype=standard&cage=18&csex=m&cheightfeet=6&cheightinch=2&cheightmeter=180&x=0&y=0 . You are underweight.I can't tell you if your exercise routine is good or not. It depends on many things such as where you ride your bike, your elliptical settings, what you eat instead of junk and fast food, etc. However, over all it sounds better than doing nothing. You seem to be trying to be fit.You do need to gain weight and it would behoove you to try building some muscle. You'll get more benefit from 10 minutes of high intensity strength training than you will from 2 hours of cycling. Here's what you get with anaerobics (strength training).• Stronger bones & increased mineral density (osteoporosis protection)• Stronger body & musculature (improved protection from injury)• More robust organic and systemic fitness (more survivable in crisis) • Improved cardio-vascular function (better than "cardio")• Higher basal metabolic rate (~5-50 cal/day/pound of muscle)• Easier fat loss (more efficient lipid consumption)• Greater calorie consumption (prolonged afterburn)• Supports body sculpting (hypertrophy)• Slows natural loss of muscle mass (sarcopenia) over age 30• Minimal wear & tear (low risk)You can't get all that with aerobics (cardio).Good luck and good health!!♠
