Why did I gain a weight after I've been eating healthy?

I am 14 and weigh 108 pounds... I'm trying to lose weight so I started eating healthy. I just started yesterday but instead of losing I gained a pound! I'm now 109. All I have eaten is carrots, strawberries, cheerios, vanilla Greek yogurt and a little tiny piece of chicken with a tiny bit of rice yesterday and the same thing today. I haven't eaten anything unhealthy today or yesterday and yesterday I had soccer practice and we did a lot of push ups and sit ups and ran like two miles so I burned a lot of calories. I know that muscle weighs more than fat but is it possible that I gained a pound of muscle in one night? What am I doing wrong?

How to Fast and Lose Weight Safely

Recommended Answer:

you're too young & light & physically active to diet.you're growing & building muscle. your poor starving body has latched onto that healthy food you ate because it's afraid you're going to do something stupid like starve yourself to maintain an unhealthy weight.

Other Answers:

  • your body weight fluctuates 5 lbs throughout the day because you eat food, you drink stuff, and then yu release it in the form of urine and feces.
  • You are still going through puberty so yes your body is constantly adding muscle and weight and y are you trying to lose weight. 108 pounds is way to little wight for someone your age to be losing weight
  • How tall are you? Unless you're under 5' tall, you don't need to lose any weight.Stop with the crazy and weighing yourself constantly before you develop an eating disorder.
  • Make sure you weigh yourself at the same time of day every day as your body can fluctuate a lot through the day. and also if your 14 and only 108 than you might already be healthy depending on how tall you are.
