What foods (other than meat) should I stay away from, as a vegetarian?

I'm trying to improve my vegetarian diet, as well as my diet in general by cutting out fast food, junk food, and processed foods because they add a bunch of unhealthy crap in there. So, I am watching out for:Natural Flavors, enzymes, rennet in cheese, gelatin, vitamin D3, Mono-Di-Glycerides, and so on. Can anyone tell me all the foods that contain these, which foods I should avoid, foods I should buy, etc?

So natural flavors can be in anything and can mean almost anything. But in ice cream that's vanilla, raspberry, or strawberry it canMean castoreum, also known as beaver anal glands. That's something you might want to watch out for. Enzymes can often be found in a lot of dairy flavors under "cultures" so if you really want to be safe, I would suggest cutting out all dairy or checking all labels carefully. For gelatin it can often be found in grape flavoring so be careful around anything grape. Also anything gummy usually has gelatin so stay away from gummy candy. It can turn up in random foods so be careful. D3 can be found in a lot of places. I find it most often in dairy and cereals but you really need to check food labels for D3 If you ar trying to avoid it. Can't tell you anything about the last one on the list cuz I don't know what it is. But you should also look into lard. It is pig fat. It can be found in food such as refried beans.Sticking to pure foods like vegetables is the only sure fire way to avoid all of these at the same time. But you could also go to a vegetarian or vegan section of your supermarket. Hope this helped!
