Is the phone app "MyFitnessPal" a good app to count my daily physical activities and calorie intakes?

I was looking for something that will help me reach my fitness goal which is weighing 240lbs (At the moment I weigh 354 and 19 years old, I know I'm overweight). My height is 6 feet, 2 inches. You see, I don't really know how to count the calories I eat. I'm in need of something that I'm able to record everything I do and eat throughout the day in order to lose the weight I want to lose. So, I really want to know is the app "MyFitnessPal" a good app to record what I do throughout the day?

Yes, well i think so cuz i have the app and it counts your calorie intake and you can set goals and it can record calories burned if you exercise. You can also record weight, and measurements, and invite friends
