How to Dance to Lose Weight

To show firm abs you'll need to both strengthen your abs and lose fat.To show abs you'll need to be at about 11% body fat.You cannot lose fat just in your belly. You must lose fat all over your body. This is because fat moves into the bloodstream to supply energy and then excess fat is re-deposited back to the body--but anywhere in the body, not where it came from. It simply doesn't have a memory. If you stick with cardio you will have a never-ending battle with your weight. That's because you'll always have to do cardio to work off excess fat.The best way to lose fat is with a combination of cardio, a healthy diet, and resistance training.Muscle uses about 30-40 calories a day just resting. Fat only use a couple of calories. So, to become a fat-burning machine you need to tone up muscles all over your body. This requires some resistance exercises.Picture this. Jogging a mile on a treadmill burns about 100 to 120 calories. But, adding 3 pounds of lean muscle all over your body burns about 120 calories a day while you sit at your computer. If you use your muscles they'll burn even more. So, start eating healthy meals -- no junk foods. Drink plenty of water. Do both cardio and resistance exercises. And, you'll look really great. And, remember--losing about a pound a week is a healthy rate of weight loss.
