I have a history of hypertension requiring medication, but i lost weight and no longer have hypertension?

does this disqualify me from joining the military, i know there are medical waivers for certain conditions but would i be automatically disqualified just because i have a history of high blood pressure even though i have lost weight and no longer have high blood pressure?

How to Suggest That Your Girlfriend Lose Weight

Recommended Answer:

What is your blood pressure now, compared to when you got hypertension? what is your heart rate? You will mostly likely need a waiver, because of your history of hypertension. You will need to submit your medical records for review.Weather or not your waiver is given or approved is up to the waiver authority, the meps doctors have nothing to do with it.This is my opinion, i think you would have a chance at it, since your HBP is caused by being overweight, and not by some other underlying chronic condition. On the other hand, the military is cutting back, and they are reluctant to entertain waivers.

  • You have a condition like weak blood and anemia but think when you eat a decent diet no more condition no more anemia; you just passed the military physical.
