Next school year when I'm a senior, I'll have a weight training class at least 3x an average school week.I'm not skinny and I don't want to be. I want to be toned and slim, healthy. How much I weigh doesn't exactly concern me but I would like to lose a couple of inches off pretty much everywhere.I'm excited for weight training but I don't want to become big, muscle wise. I'd like to have good muscles but not like body builder women. I'm worried because it is for a class and I can almost 100% guarantee that I will be the only girl in the class and so I feel the assignments will be more fitting for the guys, and I want to pass with straight A's for this class and I feel like if I don't put in my best effort (because I'm worried of becoming really muscular because I have a bit more testosterone and broad-ish shoulders) then I won't get the A.Here's some info:Female17 years old5'4.5134 - 135lbs (I used to be about 139 - 141 on July 1st; doctor told me to watch my weight)I do cardio everyday, average time is about 30-40 min per day. My cardio is a full body workout but different focuses on different days. (ex. core one day, butt and thighs another day, upper body the next day and so on) Even on my rest days, I still exercise by doing full body stretches and yoga. The only meat I eat come from water, so like fish and seafood. I have been this way for about five years now. I take Flinstones (haha) vitamins to get my iron and other things I need since I don't eat other meat. I don't calorie count but I do know that I am eating healthy. I drink a good amount of water. How much do you think I should lift?
How to Set a Weekly Weight Loss Goal
Recommended Answer:
I would do what your teacher suggests. Everyone will be lifting different weights. You have to become toned before you can even begin to get body builder muscles. So don't worry about that. It takes way more than year to be like that. YOu'll get really fit from this class
Other Answers:
- You will not gain that much muscle in only one year.
