Do you have to shop at health food stores to eat clean?

I would like to start eating healthier but I live with my parents and can't drive. My parents usually shop at Walmart, Meijer, or a local country market and they don't buy healthy foods. I live in a small city with no Whole Foods or Trader Joe's. Does Walmart like even have organic stuff? What should I eat? Should I just wait until I can drive and buy my own groceries? I don't want to be vegetarian or vegan or anything, I just feel like eating less processed stuff would benefit my health.

You can have a clean diet without eating everything organic or from an overpriced food vendor. The key is to eat foods that are high in vitamins and nutrients and not over processed so you already have the right idea. Fresh fruits and veggies is a great way to get a lot of your daily vitamin needs. Also you should try to have a home cooked meal at least once a day that isn't processed fast foods of microwave dinners. It might help if you educates you parents on the benefits and the practicality of purchasing fresh fruits and veggies and even meat over processed and pre packaged meals and veggies. A bag of frozen broccoli cost about 2 dollars and its mostly the stems meanwhile you can get twice as much fresh broccoli for the same price and freeze whatever portion you are not gonna use in a ziploc Baggie yourself. Eating healthy and clean isn't expensive as long as you don't call trap to the whole organic this and whole foods that.
