How many calories should a sedentary teenage girl take in daily to lose weight?

5'4"12216 years oldI have been trying to get back down to my healthier weight of 112 but havent been successful for a long time. Have you ever just felt completely defeated at times because something so seemingly simple ends up seeming impossible? That's what it keeps feeling like. And I fall to the wrong solutions too often: eating too few calories, fasting, eating just right then getting impatient and eating too few, then bingeing. It's very unhealthy. So, does anyone have the answer for my title question? I am sick of wasting away all this effort and just want to be healthy.Thanks!1 day ago - 1 day left for votingAdditional DetailsOh and I am a vegan, am too busy with yearbook and other school stuff to want to squeeze in exercise. It is what it is, some people aren't a lick interested in working out. I'm a low key, chill kind of person. I am always reading, doing my artwork, doing yearbook (ALWAYS busy with that) and other IB school stuff, so relaxation is my best friend- and working out has always been out of the question. So, calorie wise --whats the intake to lose weight?---sorry, I'm very wordy---

How to Lose Weight With the Master Cleanse

Your going to find fat loss more difficult because you're a vegan. The problem with veganism is usually protein and/or just providing your body with the nutrients it requires while cutting calories. You have many more options if you don't restrict your food choices. The secret of fat loss is finding food items you enjoy that will keep you well nourished and feeling full without going over your BMR ( http://www.calculator.net/bmr-calculator.html ) in daily calories. That's much more difficult when you make huge cuts in your list of potential food items.Notwithstanding the above, to find out how the best minds in nutrition in the world (at the US NIH) have recommended for decades we lose fat, read my answer about how to lose fat --> http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=As615QJM4X_3ID9_05qmmlXty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20111028185603AAVcP4D . It important to avoid losing fat with the idea that you can return to your old eating habits when you've lost your weight. You can't!It's important to understand why you got the fat you want to lose and then habituate good and proper eating habits so you will not only lose it, but you will keep it off as well. When you lose fat, you weigh less and, hence, burn fewer calories. Your BMR will be lower so you'll have to eat less on maintenance than when you were heavier. And, losing the fat is only the beginning. Once fat is lost, you have to keep it off for the rest of your life and that may include such difficulties as the "Freshman 15", college drinking culture, soirées and social drinking, pregnancy, somatopause (age-related slowing metabolism), a more sedentary lifestyle, affluence and access to more expensive, tasty, and fattening meals, etc. This truth is born out by the fact that 3 out of 4 adult Americans are overweight or obese. That's means only 1 in 4 adult Americans has a healthy weight. (See: http://www.obesityinamerica.org/statistics/index.cfm ). It only gets more difficult to stay slim as the years roll by. It never gets easier. So, now is the time to establish good eating habits...the kind that will keep you svelte and fit in the days ahead and for the rest of your life.
