How to Lose Weight in 5 Days

Recommended Answer:

DIet has a lot to do with it.While trying to lose weight you should avoid several things. Complex carbs are a no-brainer. Nothing Fried. Fried food is one of the worst things you can eat if you're trying to lose weight. Avoid Soy and Corn. Our bodies are not designed to process unfermented Soy (Soy Sauce is fine as that is fermented). Corn...well, our bodies literally don't digest it...look in the toilet next time you eat corn and you'll see what I mean. NO SODA. That small can of cola has up to 270 calories in it. Diet soda's are sweetened with Aspartame which is actually a carcinogenic powder made in a lab. Look for Organic teas sweetened with Stevia, which is a natural sweetener (closely related to mint, but tastes just like a normal sweetener but is way healthier). Reduce your sodium intake. That means, use other herbs for seasoning your food and severely limit salt. Salt causes water retention.Fish is a good source of protein and is very low fat. Bake or Poach, but do NOT fry it.Also a good supplement to take is Omega 3 or Fish Oil.Figure out what your body's caloric necessity is. That's how many calories you need per day to maintain your current weight. There are several web sites that do this for free. In order to significantly lose weight you need to consume less than what your "Maintenance Calories" state.I'm currently at a 2800 (give or take a few) Calorie maintenance level and am taking in around 1200-1500 a day to try and cut some weight. I also suggest doing a little bit of intermittent fasting. Eat small meals, which should be your new meal size. for a few days, then limit yourself to Water for 24 hours. This can be Midnight to Midnight, but I find it easier to do it from around 4 or 5 pm until the same time the next day. When the fasting day is done, eat your normal smaller meal for dinner. 24 hours of Fasting is the equivalent of doing an hour of Cardio when it comes to burnt calories. Try doing that twice a week (I do it on Wednesdays and Fridays). Just remember though, this method is not for everybody. You can also try the 16/8 method where you eat all of your daily calories between 10 am and 6 pm, then fast for the next 16 hours.EXERCISE is also important. Always make sure that when trying to burn fat, you are doing some resistance training so your body goes straight to the fat. If you don't, your body will try to use the muscle first as it's easier to use. Resistance training tells your body, "I need the muscle, use the fat". Cardio is also vital to losing weight. Interval training (or HIIT/High intensity Interval Training) is the best form of cardio you can do. It can be done running a track, on a treadmill, an elliptical, a bike, or stair climber. I'll put a link in my sources that will explain it better. Also, after work outs, treat yourself to a glass of Chocolate milk. It's a great "cool down" drink and helps with the lactic acid released during your workout...however limit it to being a "Post-work out" drink. It seriously works better than 95% of the "Recovery Drinks" on the market today and costs about half the price. Also, remember to keep hydrated. You should be drinking at least 60 ounces of water a day minimum. (I'm using oz and lbs since I'm american and thats what is easiest for me to explain...) Take your weight in lbs and divide it by 2. That is the total ounces of water you should drink per day...overly simplified though. Best bet, carry a gallon of Water with you and drink from it frequently.I try to do a Gallon per day. It'll take a lot of work, but if you really want to slim down, It really is as simple as creating a calorie deficit and doing exercise. It just takes discipline and commitment.

  • You need to eat foods that give you energy and are low carb. Try cutting out all white bread products (pasta, bread, rice, etc) and replace them with whole grains (whole wheat bread, whole grain pasta, brown rice, oatmeal, quinoa etc). Also cut out any sugar in your diet. Detox for a week or so and then start incorporating a workout that builds muscle. Muscle will help burn fat even when you are not working out. Diet and exercise need to pair well, and you need to get enough sleep and keep your stress down. Drink lots of water too!
