Does washing your face daily and having a strictly anti acne plan and work out cause your skin to-?

Lighten? My skin has gotten darker over the summer to the point it seems as if I went to the sun and back. I'm 4 shades than I use to be and I want my skin tone color back! Will washing my face and having anti-acne routine plus eating healthy and working out make my skin lighter?

it may be caused by the ingredients in the skin products you are using. certain ingredients can effect your skin tone). also, sun exposure affects the look of your skin. if you've been out in the sun alot, this would make your skin look darker or somewhat discolored.I suggest taking a good look at the skin products you are currently using. whether you have acne or not, you should only be using a small amount of products. (sometimes you may have an allergy to something and not realize it). use only products with natural, organic products. (avoid dyes, alcohols, perfumes, waxes, paraffins, mineral oil, talc, chlorides and sulfates) All of those ingredients are unhealthy and may irritate your skin. During the fall and winter months your skin should (naturally) get paler (because you'd be outside less). But regardless, I recommend wearing a good sunscreen year round (this not only protects your skin from cancer and premature aging, but also helps prevent skin discoloration.) I sunscreen I use everyday (year-round) is Skinceuticals Sheer Physical Uv Defense SPF 50 Broad-spectrum Sunscreen. It applies well, contains no harmful ingredients, protects your skin and is sheer under makeup. I have acne-prone skin and it has never made me breakout.Do not over-wash your face. When you wash it at night, gently cleanse with an organic gel cleanser and lukewarm water. ( I personally recommend: Eileen Mai Salicylic Cleansing Gel or Boscia Clear Complexion Cleanser) . Then I would follow that with a gentle clarifying toner like Eminence Organics Wild Plum Tonique or Boscia Clear Complexion Treatment. ( these products are all gentle, effective and contain no irritants for sensitive skin ) Whenever you have an breakout, I recommend using Evan Healy Blemish Purifying Serum. Apply it only *directly* on the pimple. I have sensitive skin and struggled with acne for years. But these specific products and methods have worked for me. A lot of acne products (especially the cheaper ones available at the regular drugstore) can actually damage and worsen your skin. So give the ones I recommended a try instead (and remember to apply sunscreen everyday before you go outside.)Stick to a healthy diet and exercise routine. Regardless of your age, nationality or skin condition, what you put in your body will show in your skin.Try cutting out dairy, soy, alcohol, fast food and artificial sugars. These can disrupt your skin's natural balance and actually make acne worse. Drink more green tea and water, and eat more fresh (organic) fruits and veggies. The less processed foods you ingest, the better your skin (overall) will look.Good luck!
