so about 11 to 8 days ago I started itching down there. I decided to wait it out because I had just shaved so I thought maybe it was from shaving. then after a few days it didn't go away. then it started to get red and raw down there and started to burn when I would wipe. it doesn't burn when I pee though only when I wipe. so I decided to try an over the counter yeast infection cream. I used it for about 3 nights and no improvement. if anything it made the itching and burning worse. then one morning I noticed I had some orangeish yellowish stretchy discharge. I was getting ready to ovulate and the stretchy part is always normal for me only usually its clear. also I had a yeast infection last month. I know it was a yeast infection because I had PROTECTED sex with a new partner and I got the yeast infection a day after having sex. and I got scared that I got and STD from him so I went to planned parenthood and got it looked it. they gave me a yeast infection pill and within a few days I was back to normal. and before I went to planned parenthood last time I did notice the orangish discharge. so after seeing the discharge again i thought for sure its a yeast infection again and since the other medicine didn't help i went out and got a one day treatment. it was a suppository. so before i put that in i went to the bathroom and after i wiped i noticed clear discharge with little specks of blood in it. (this did not happen last time) so i tried to calm down and i put the suppository in and went to bed. after laying there the cream started to come out and was getting on the outside of my vagina. it was probably the worst pain i have ever been in. i literally had to sleep with an ice pack on all night. so the next day. my vagina was swollen. and didn't feel that much better. but i went on with the day. then the next day the swelling went down and the itching and burning was almost gone. now a few days later its still slightly there. and today i noticed my vagina was swollen again. also i had more of the orangish discharge.so what is this? is this yeast? and if it is why isn't it gone by now after i have treated it? could it be something more serious?! btw i am no longer sexually active the last time i had sex was last month a day before my last yeast infection. and like i said we did use protection the whole time so this cant be something like gonorrhea can it?!when i went to planned parenthood the doctor told me yeast infections can be caused from diabetes and sugary foods and drinks. well i do not have diabetes but i do have a history of it in my family. but right after my last yeast infection i joined the gym and im counting calories and i never drink soda anymore. all i drink is water. so what could have caused this?!please help if you can. i don't have insurance or the money to go back to planned parenthood.

Are you getting close to having your period again? Sometimes a yeast infection can occur with hormonal changes (like getting your period, ovulation, etc.) That could explain the color too.If the over-the-counter treatments are giving you trouble, stop using them.Try sitting in a bath & cleaning the area with cool water alone... no soap. Try drinking a lot of water too... to flush it out of your system. It sounds like an infection that was made worse with the yeast infection treatments. If the problem isnt getting better in the next few days... try to possibly seek medical attention.
