Diet is 90% of it and working out is about 10%. Eat how you would normally for a week, but track absolutely everything you put in your mouth. From there, you can establish your eating habits. Depending on your age, weight, height, and gender, you can calculate how many calories you should be consuming each day (there are tons of websites that can calculate this for you, just google it). Then cut 500 calories off that amount. Each pound of fat is about 3500 calories, so 500 calories less a day equals a pound of fat a week. Cut out as much bad food as your possibly can. Concentrate on protein, complex carbs, and healthy fats (such as omega-3's). Treat yourself every once in awhile also. Example: Every pound or two you lose, you can have a cheat snack/meal. Don't ever have "cheat days." I see people go completely overboard and consume huge amounts of calories on cheat days. A cheat meal is a much better alternative. Make sure you are tracking everything you eat also. This keeps you accountable and makes you less likely to cheat. Start drinking more water. I have a one gallon jug I fill each day. I mark lines on the side for how much I should have consumed by what time. By the end of the day I have consumed at least a gallon of water. More water consumed equals less water weight stored. Also, incorporate exercise. It doesn't have to be intense, but alternate between strength training and cardio. The strength training will tone your body and the cardio will help burn off those extra calories. You really have to put your mind to it. It isn't easy, but it is possible!

  • If you want to lose weight you want to start of doing exercise, so lots of cardio so like running/jogging, swimming, walking, cycling, dancing etc. Do that maybe 10minutes everyday so your body will get use to it and when it becomes to easy for you increase the time so go from doing 10minutes everyday to 20 minutes. Also you want to change your diet, so if you are eating lots of junk/unhealthy foods reduce it little by little until you no longer want it. Eating lots of fruits and vegetables and protein (like your read meats and eggs) and healthy fats. If you are craving for a snack eat something like a small protein bar, yoghurt, legumes etc.
