What doctor will prescribe me Topamax?

I have seizures, but also I am moody (Keppra rage) and I want to get put on Topamax for a few reasons. 1) I gained a lot of weight from Depakote which I took for my seizures, and I want to lose that weight. 2) I am hella moody.Should I go to my neuro for it, my primary dr or a psychiatrist or something. My mom said I'd prob need a psychiatrist for it because of the moodiness.

If you've already been diagnosed w epilepsy or some sort of siezure disorder your neurologist would make the most since bc its an anti convulsant and while it treats bipolar and migraines that wasnt its primary use. That being said I would strongly discourage getting on it. While it does cause dramatic weight loss its often referred to as dopamax or stupimax bc it is notorious for basically turning u into an airhead.
