Is it possible to eat out and still lose weight?

I work out a TON but occasionally eat out but I normally make healthy choices when eating out but for some reason I still gain weight. Could it be I''m choosing something too high in sodium? I burn about 800-1000 calories at the gym 5 days a week so I''m just curious as to why I don''t lose weight. I never eat a lot either.

When eating out you don''t know what that supposedly healthy food is cooked with, oils and sauces are often really not so low in calories. Also yo may be trying too hard to loose weight when you work out causing you to ironically maintain the calories you put in your body. High stress levels and poor stress management is one of the main reasons people who try loosing weight with like 10 different diets don''t get the results they want.

  • If you''re eating out your choices will never be the healthiest they can be.
Also, eating less doesn''t necessarily mean you will lose weight. If you are not eating enough, your metabolism will start to slow down. This causes your body to digest food slower and you to gain weight. That is probably what is happening.
To lose about 1 lb a week, you need to burn an extra 500 calories than you are eating. But you need to be getting enough of the three macro nutrients: protein, carbohydrates, and healthy fats.
It''s okay to eat out occasionally, maybe a couple times a month.
