Tips on losing weight?

I want to lose 50lbs by the end of December. Which is about 10lbs per month. Any tips? I recently started doing zumba & stopped drinking soda. Any exercises I can do or tips that'll help me reach my goal?

There are 5 main things that will make you lose weight:1.Healthy Diet2.Cardio Exercise3.Strength Training4.Sleep5.Positive attitudeHealthy diet does not mean starving yourself or restricting yourself. It is all about eating in moderation. You do, on the other hand need to eat a lot healthier. And that means natural, unprocessed, fresh foods. Most of what you eat should not be packaged or preserved. Raw fruits and vegetables, whole grains, nuts, lean meat, and A LOT of water. (Nothing BUT WATER TO DRINK!) 80% of weight loss is what you eat! Cardio, strength training, and even lifting. These will give you the toned body you want. As for walking, I think you would be better off at doing intervals of running and walking. (Run 1 min, Walk 2 mins) This will boost your metabolism more then just walking or just jogging. Lifting does not give you huge muscles like most people think, it's ACTUALLY pretty good for weight loss and toning.Btw, working out releases endorphins, which makes you overall happier if you stay consistent.SLEEP AND YOUR ATTITUDE ARE JUST AS MUCH IMPORTANT. If you do not get proper sleep, your body will be lethargic causing you not to want to eat right or exercise. Sleep is also needed for the recovery from the workout and your mind to get it's rest. And your attitude... you have to believe working out it something like a reward for your body, never something you feel obligated to do. you have to change your way of seeing things. Also, losing weight will not make you love yourself. You have to come to accept yourself no matter what size. You are beautiful whether you are 400 pounds or 100 pounds. I feel as though if you follow my advice, you'll realize this.good luck! XD

  • Look up flutter kicks, this will eliminate your thighs and tighten you abs. Sit ups will get rid of over bulging love handles. Jogging can get you lean fast. Keep a journal of how much and how often you exercise. Increase both aspects at a steady pace weekly. Eat right, keeping a journal of what your eating daily really help you see what you're doing. No junk food, no carbs (bread, chips, pasta, etc.), more fruits and vegetables. DO NOT TAKE DIETARY SUPPLEMENTS! They are a waste of money and could harm your body.
  • I'm done with my weight loss journey and completely happy with how I feel and how I look right now however losing weight is a challenge for anyone and even losing 5 pounds and keeping it off isn't an easy task. Also I bet you didn't know that 5 pounds of fat is about the size of 8 cheese burgers? That alone should be enough to make anyone want to get on the ball and start a change for the better. Weight loss can be really easy to learn but the problem is nobody wants to put the required effort that is needed to actually do it, instead people continually look for (easy) ways to do it. If there was an easy way to lose weight I don't think 35% of Americans would be obese. There was a time when I also wanted to lose weight and was tired of starting diets only to lose motivation and give up just a few weeks later after seeing no results. However, let me tell you it is literally one of the easiest things you will ever learn once you find a good and reputable place to learn it from and I say that only because the world is filled with magic diet pills, liquid flush diets and a thousand other quick fixes that promise xx pounds of weight loss in the first week and even though it is impossible they know you're going to do it because your desperate. I have probably tried every diet pill, liquid flush diet, and ab rocket machine known to man and have had no success with any of them nor do I know anyone that has ever had any success with them. I have also tried starving myself which works very well for the first few weeks' right before your metabolism comes to a complete stop and eating just the tiny bit makes you gain weight and you end up weighing more than you did before you started starving yourself. Companies promote weight loss to make money not to get people healthy again and that's because they know you're not going to be a customer and buy their products if you're no longer fat. http://fatloossfactor.com is a site I want you to go to when you have 10 or 20 minutes to spare and I want you to sit down and watch his video on weight loss. He helps people every day to lose weight I have never seen someone as committed as him and that will go so far out of his way to help someone. His weight loss program is one of the best I have ever had the enjoyment of doing and it is without doubt the best success I have ever had with any weight loss program. I also couldn't be happier with my body right now and I have never felt this wonderful in my whole life. In the end you just got to remember to stick with it and stay confident in yourself and in no time you can achieve the results you have always wanted. It's not hard to lose weight but most people have a hard time staying motivated and 9 times out of 10 it was because they weren't really committed from the beginning. Anyways I hope I helped you and I hope you make the commitment to change your body and life. Remember it's not easy to take the first step but you did, you're here right now taking it and the rest of the steps will fall into place. Have a wonderful day.

Would lightening skin creams help with stretch marks?

My skin tone is medium-olive. I have stretch marks on the back of my calves and my knees due to rapid weight loss. I have more on my arms and my hips, butt, thighs, and boobs, but right now im more concerned about my legs. I was wondering if using lightening creams (preferably a homemade remedy such as lime juice or something) would help lighten the skin around the stretch marks to help match the tone of the skin to the stretch marks. The stretch marks are already white, by the way, since they are already about 4 years old. Or would the cream also lighten the stretch marks to a lighter color? Thanks in advance.

Honestly using a lightening cream won't do much for you. The stretch marks will still be visible. I too had stretch marks but mine were from pregnancy and over 8 years old. I literally tried everything to get rid of them. Recently about 9 months ago I came across this girls blog where she explained how she got rid of her 10 year old stretch marks with a routine that she came up with. I followed her routine and within 6 months mine were barely recognizable anymore. I am very pleased with my results. If you would like to try her routine she made a youtube video where she tells people exactly what she did to get rid of them. Her youtube channel name is Halo92599. You can just type her channel name in the youtube search box or just copy and paste the link into your browser. I will put the link to her video below as well:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sc66TWi5l2E

  • I don't know about lightening cream, if you want you can try with some home remedies to get rid of them, before going through with any of these, just consult the doctor...

How can I change my lifestyle?

I'm 15, female, 5'5 and I weigh about 155 pounds. I really want to lose at least 15 to 20 pounds before summer is over or at least tone my body better. I also want to be better at running (if that makes sense). When I say I can't run for more than 1 minute before feeling exhausted, I mean it. I honestly think that is really pathetic and I hate this quality in me. I don't have asthma, or any respiratory issues I can think of, (actually I've been dealing with second hand smoke for my entire life up until about november of last year when I had my tonsillectomy) but I can't run for my life, and I don't know why. It's the worst in gym class when we are tested on our speed/endurance and I can barely finish. I started high school this year and one of the first things we did in P.E was run the track and all that. I was the very last person to finish after about 50 kids in my class. I just wanted to hide in a closet and cry my eyes out. My main goal is to fix the running thing. I was also wondering if I could start a diet of ONLY fruits, vegetables and water? I don't want to become a vegetarian or vegan but I figured an all fruit and veggie diet would be healthier. I want to cut out all junk food and sugary drinks to help make my body healthier. My one concern is about my iron though. I started taking iron supplements last week because I have "iron deficiency". If I cut out some meat products will this be bad for me? I was thinking of changing my diet to some sort of healthy cereal with fruit for breakfast, my lunch to a salad with sliced fruit, and a dinner consisting of vegetables and some iron rich meat. My diet as of now is "don't eat until I'm super hungry and eat microwave chicken nuggets or something unhealthy". I know that's not good at all but that's why I want to change it. Please comment your opinion or any helpful tips, I really want to become a healthier person! I also have a gym membership and I plan on working out everyday for at least an hour except for Sundays, Mondays, and Fridays.

running is really hard uknow, not everyone can do it and u shouldnt just jump into it, u can injure urself. Start off slow and work ur way up. If u have a gym membership, then the treadmill is where to go. Start with just brisk walking, then build up to powerwalking, going at about 4 - 4.5 miles an hour is where u need to slowly work up to, and doing that for an hour is a great way to build fitness and lose weight. U can even just stick with powerwalking but if u feel u need to do more, gradually incorporate jogging into it in bursts, like, powerwalk 10 minutes, jog 5 minutes, and alternate. As u get fitter u can replace more powerwalking minutes with jogging minutes if u want to. Listen to ur body and dont overdo it.As far as diets go, oats are a great breakfast, they fill u up and give u loads of energy. Just cut out fast food and avoid processed food and drinks. Eat real, healthy food and drink plenty of water. I had iron deficiency anemia and i dont eat any red meat anymore and my iron levels are fine. So dont believe what u hear about 'needing' red meat, u can get iron from many other sources. Learn about food and the body, and how to prepare meals, its the best way to know whats good and what isnt.Best of luck and health.
