How to Help Your Dachshund Lose Weight

Recommended Answer:

If you want to put on weight, you should work out, to insure that youput on muscle and not fat. Healthy weight gain, just like healthyweight loss, takes time and requires a conscious effort to apply goodhabits.Recommended Ways to Gain WeightHave meals with the right balance of proteins, carbohydrates, and theright kinds of fat (such as unsaturated and monounsaturated fats, olive oil, canola oil, pistachios, almonds and walnuts). Heinemannsuggests the following ratio: 60%-70% carbohydrates, 10%-15% protein, and a small amount of fat.Eat foods higher in calories, vitamins, and minerals, as opposedto higher in fat or sugar. Pack more nutritious calories in eachserving. For example, you may add grated cooked eggs to mashedpotatoes, ground chicken to soups and gravies, cheese in casseroles, eggs, and soups, and nonfat dried milk in soups, shakes, milk, andmashed potatoes. If you get too full too fast, try having more high-calorie foods orslices of foods as opposed to consuming the whole thing (raisinsversus grapes, granola and Grape Nuts versus corn flakes, mango slicesversus the whole mango).Limit drinking beverages to a half-hour before and after a meal.Drink mixed juices (apple/berry, peach/orange/banana as opposed to onejuice beverages) for a higher calorie intake. With moderation, you mayadd in good fat sources to meals such as nuts, avocado, olives, andfatty fish (salmon and mackerel).Snack in between meals. Nuts, dried fruits, and yogurtare good options, but it's also important to find nutritious foodsthat you will enjoy. Have a nutritious snack before bedtime, such as apeanut butter sandwich.

  • smoke weed, its makes your metabolism faster and so you eat more.
  • 1.Eat and eat often. While everyone should abide by this rule, it is especially true for those who are trying to gain weight. Eating often means eating five to six small meals a day and packing in those nutrients.2.Eat the right kind of fats. You want a bigger, healthier looking body--not a thin frame with a bit of a paunch. Maximise the avocados, dairy products, nuts (including peanut butter), and meats; stay away from ice cream, fries and fatty junk foods.3.Go high-protein. Though it's a myth that protein builds muscle, it is an essential part of your diet.[2] It's a building block of our entire body: muscles, bones, skin, hair, and blood. Go for high-protein foods to fill up.4.Layer on the carbs. Though they get a bad rap, carbs, too, help build muscle and facilitate all of your vital functions. Carbs are your body's main source of energy. Complex carbs are fine; it's the simple ones you want to avoid. They contain empty calories and will most likely be stored as fat because the sugars enter your bloodstream quickly and cause a spike in blood sugar levels.5.Eat late at night. Without even upping your food intake, changing your eating times can facilitate the weight gaining process. Have a big dinner late at night and after that? Pile on dessert
  • To gain weight you need to combine protein foods with starchy carbohydrates as indicated below. Good weight gaining combinations are bread, cereals, pasta, rice, potatoes or sweet potatoes combined with meat, poultry, eggs, cheese, nuts or sea food. Peanut butter sandwiches and cheese sandwiches are good weight gaining combinations. The protein in the above combinations will help to gain extra muscles.

How fast do you gain muscle?

I've been getting back into weight lifting and my arms were tiny and weak, but after going to the gym five days a week for the last two weeks, I can feel my muscles getting bigger. However, my step dad says it's not possible after such a short amount of time. Is there a noticeable difference after two weeks?

How to Lose Weight Like Tyra Banks

Recommended Answer:

The most you can realistically gain is about half a pound a week of lean muscle. That is if you are eating and doing everything properly. That is why your dad is skeptical. You arms are just getting more defined and the structure is becoming more rigid, making them look bigger. They are just sticking up more, but they haven't actually gained much mass.

How to Lose Weight in a Month

1. What was your diet like before losing weight?-- It was horrible. I ate a lot of carbs, pastries, and meats, and I would have big meals and snack in between them all. If I was offered food I took it. If I saw food I ate it. If I wasn't sleeping or working, chances are I was eating.2. When did you decide to lose weight?-- I decided to lose weight once I hit 327 pounds. It was the start of a new year and I figured that if I was ever going to go on a diet, there'd be no better time than then.3. Was there an 'enough is enough' moment?-- Yes. I got sick of being the biggest one in the room everywhere I went. I got sick of people judging me because of my weight. I got sick of my weight being the first thing people noticed about me. I got sick of hearing doctors warn me about the dangers of being obese. I got sick of the insults and comments. I got sick and tired of being the fat guy, and it just got to the point where enough was enough.4. Was it hard eating healthier at first?-- Yes. It was one of the hardest things I've ever done.5. What was your goal?-- My goal was to lose around a hundred pounds.6. Did you relapse or do you have an iron will?-- I haven't had the chance to relapse yet, but I'm sure I'll gain some of the weight back. It's hard to resist the temptations -- especially since I've been under a lot of stress lately -- and I'm sure once I let up a little bit the weight will pile on again. I'll do my best to keep it at a reasonable number, but I'm only human.7. How often do you weigh yourself?-- I weigh myself once a week.8. What was the most and least you lost in a week?-- I remember losing twelve pounds in one week in the beginning, but as time went on I started losing less weight per week until a few weeks ago I plateaued. Now I'm just trying to maintain my weight.9. Did you miss junk food?-- I went to bed dreaming about junk food for the longest time. I don't miss as much nowadays, but I still crave it now and then.10. What have been the benefits of losing weight?-- I'm able to find clothes that fit me. I don't have to avoid amusement parks out of fear of what the weight limits for the rides are. I'm not embarrassed to go swimming or go to the beach. I don't have to squeeze into restaurant booths. I'm not the butt of every fat joke people make. I look good.11. Looking back on your old self, what do you understand about how you used to be?-- I see now that I was addicted to food, to eating, and that I didn't know much about moderation or proportions or self-control. I also see that I was not just an overeater, but an emotional eater as well.12. What has changed, mentally?-- I'm more confident nowadays. I don't see myself as inferior to anyone else like I did back when I was heavier than everyone I knew.

How much should I be eatting?

Okay so I need help with understanding my portion sizes. How to Lose Weight in Your Cheeks

Don't confuse yourself with charts and calories. Here's a good low-carb food/exercise plan:Breakfast: Cook 9-grain cereal (from health food store) in water with rolled oats and wheat bran. Make a pot of it on weekends and nuke 1/2 cup each morning. Then stir in low fat milk or yogurt, banana, walnuts and berries. Drink hot Ovaltine. Breakfast should be your largest meal of the day to raise blood sugar level which falls during the night.Lunch: Egg, tuna or turkey ½ sandwich on multi-grain (not just whole wheat) bread with bean or alfalfa sprouts, yogurt, fresh fruit. If you had meat loaf for dinner, bring a meat loaf sandwich on whole grain bread (NO mayo). On cold days, a squatty thermos of hot chili, split peas with ham, or beef stew.Snacks: Fresh (not canned) fruit. Nothing ever from a vending machine. Dinner: salad with white meat chicken and fresh (not canned) veggies: tomatoes, 2 kinds of lettuce, 2 kinds of shredded cabbage, shredded or sliced carrots, alfalfa or bean sprouts, zucchini, green or red peppers, hard boiled eggs, brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, tofu, cottage cheese, spinach...Instead of dressing, squeeze 1/4 tomato over it. Or homemade bean/vegetable soups; great way to recycle leftovers.Or grilled fish with steamed veggies.Or omelet: In blender, whip together eggs, tofu, cottage cheese, onions, garlic powder. Cook with mushrooms, chopped tomatoes and green or red peppers. Avoid junk food, fast foods, pastries, desserts, anything with sugar (cancer cells feed on sugar), gluten, syrup (even canned fruit in syrup), peanut butter, fat/grease (pork, wieners, chops, bacon, salami, pizza, chips, fries), pasta, potatoes, ramen, popcorn, white bread, rice, canned veggies, ice cream (it's lard + chemicals), soda (loaded with toxins), chips, tobacco, alcohol (kills brain cells) and coffee (carcinogenic). No oil except olive and mac nut. To keep your skin clear, drink water, tea, unsweetened veggie and fruit juice. Join a gym; they have all the equipment and staff to show you how to use it to get the look you want to achieve, but you have to ask them. Much cheaper than buying your own equipment. Go hiking, biking, jogging, bowling, swimming, rowing, jump rope, play tennis, badminton, volleyball, soccer, jumping jacks, lift weights, trampoline? To tone your tummy, do sit ups, push ups, pull ups, leg lifts, butt raises and crunches. For more energy, take Super B complex.

  • Eat healthy foods when your hungry. Divide you plat into 3 portions. Half the plate needs to be a vegetable. The other half needs to be half protein and then half starch. Eat two fruits daily and as many veggies a possible! For breakfast eat something with protein and fiber. :)

Should I keep losing weight or stop?

I have lost 10 pounds and I'm still at a healthy BMI.I'm 5 foot 7 and 130 pounds.I still have too much stomach fat (ewh) and love handles but my neck and collar bones are very skinny as are my calves, feet, wrists and lower arms.I'm scared I'm going to lose my chest and become too bony but I hate my stomach fat. What do I do? I know there is no way to target fat (don't try to tell me otherwise because I have a doctor) but I really want to be "slim".

How to Lose Weight Eating Every 2 Hours

Recommended Answer:

Oh this is easy. Tone up your stomach. Ab workouts help alot. Sit ups to crunches. Just do it on a daily basis and do throughout the day. In a month or two that stomach will be gone

Other Answers:

  • stop really stop that is a good weight any thinner and you will be way to thin
  • You are right, you can't target fat loss, however if your bodyfat % is over 25%, your doctor will tell you that's also not healthy
  • Maintain your weight and exercise.
  • Id go for 120 but thats just meh.
  • It sounds like you are at a good body weight, but sometimes your body takes a bit of time to "grow into it." Instead of trying to lose weight, do core strengthening exercises to tone your body. It makes you look fit and healthy!Best of luck :)
  • You can still lose more.:)
  • Try working on ur 'abs'. do ab excersizes everyday and watch what you eat (certain things are soo tempting but u have to resist!) ab exersizes wont make you chest flat ( at least im pretty sure it wont) and if you dont want to workout to loose weight, than what i would suggest isTaking smaller portions of food. Put only a bit on ur plate (at first), and eat slowly. When people are hungry they tend to eat pretty fast and dont actually chew. they kinda just chew a bit and then swallow the food lol. If you eat slower you'll get more full than if u were to just stuff food in ur mouth. And drink WATER when you eat. no pop, soda, ect. A glass of water with a meal everyday should be good. And then soon you'll be so used to taking smaller portions that you will become full after just one serving. That's what i did and its working!Good luck! xx
  • Your weight is fine. You can lose 5 more easily and you will be very happy with the result. The love handles are actually something you have to have lipo'ed off - nothing else works.Your stomach will firm up if you do sit-ups although your weight will remain the same. Asfar as wanting to be 'slim' goes, you already are slim. Concentrate on staying there anddon't stress.
  • Losing a bit more won't be incredibly horrible, you still aren't underweight, but do not go too far... I'm losing weight to around 8st 8lb ish, maybe 9st, depending how I look... Just don't lose too much more, it's still not too unhealthy
