HELP! I need help with my love handles.?

Hi, so I'm a 14 year old female who's 5'7 and 160lbs. I have love handles and my arms are larger than I want. I lost 20lbs by eating healthier and working out. I want to lose weight because I don't feel comfortable in my body. I'm always self-conscious. For me it's not all about looking good, it's about feeling good. I'm not doing this for a boy or anything. I'm doing this for myself, I just need help..

How to Lose Weight Fast by Drinking Water

Here's your ideal weight range --> http://www.calculator.net/ideal-weight-calculator.html?ctype=standard&cage=14&csex=f&cheightfeet=5&cheightinch=7&cheightmeter=180&x=0&y=0 . Be sure to read all the information on the page. You need to be careful about losing fat at your age. You're the right age and sex for eating disorders and you do need to keep 15% body fat minimum. That said, here's how to cut whatever fat you can cut and still keep your essential fat. You may or may not be able to lose your love handles and/or arm fat. That's going to depend on the distribution of your adipocytes (fat cells). The key to fat loss is not exercise, it's diet.Any exercise will burn calories but no exercise will burn fat unless your diet allows it. You can burn fat in your sleep or you can run all day and never burn any fat. It all depends on your diet. Fat loss is determined by calorie control, not by exercise. Good exercises for burning calories are speed walking, biking, swimming, dancing, etc. and ANY other physical activity which makes you move a lot of weight for a long time. But NO exercise is good for burning fat if you eat too many calories because you can always eat more calories than you can burn but you can't always burn as many as you take in.Too many people waste energy and time because they do not understand this one simple point. The result is too often giving up in frustration, abandoning gym memberships they continue to pay for, and many other unnecessary problems not the least of which is a lack of success. An average person must walk about five miles every day for a week to burn the calories equivalent to a pound of body fat. So, unless you think walking about five miles a day (or doing an equivalent amount of exercise) with no guarantee of fat loss makes sense, focus your fat loss program on diet.Diet for fat loss. Exercise for fitness. When you are in a fat loss mode and burning body fat, it is your body (based on your genetics) and only your body that determines where that fat loss will happen. You have absolutely no control over where your body loses fat first, last, and in between no matter what you do. It is not possible to lose fat only from a specific part of your body of your choosing. Where your body stores and removes fat is determined by your genetics and there is nothing you can do to change that short of radical procedures such as liposuction. And, in general, where it stores fat first is where it will lose it last and visa versa. The world of health and fitness has an unfortunate abundance of myths and spot reduction is one of them. There is no exercise, no pill, no supplements, no spa treatment, and no natural way to spot reduce. Your only choice is to create a caloric deficit with diet and preferably some exercise, burn fat, and wait for it to leave the desired body parts. Some women may be disappointed to learn that they can't remove their unwanted belly fat without losing a cup size or two. And, some men may be disappointed to find out they can't get a ripped abdomen without cutting into their essential body fat. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spot_reductionhttp://www.exrx.net/WeightTraining/Myths.htmlhttp://www.fitnesstipsforlife.com/the-spot-reduction-myth.htmlTo find out how the best minds in nutrition in the world (at the US NIH) have recommended for decades we lose fat, read my answer about how to lose fat --> http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=As615QJM4X_3ID9_05qmmlXty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20111028185603AAVcP4D Good luck and good health!!♠PS: Here are some good websites you may find useful.• BEST SEARCH ENGINE http://www.usa.gov• A MUST FOR DIETERS http://www.freedieting.com/• BEST DIET TOOL ON THE WEB http://www.myfitnesspal.com/• BEST FOODS FOR YOU http://www.choosemyplate.gov/index.html• NUTRITION DOT GOV http://www.nal.usda.gov/food-and-nutrition

  • It's actually very easy to get rid of love handles, it's not by doing stomach/ torso excersises but it's by running, walking, jumping, stuff like that. Trust me, I've had the worst love handles you can imagine and I've tried all kinds of crunches and abb excersises and they never helped. Then I started walking and running up the stairs and oh my god they went away so fast! Hope this helps(: I am 16 btw, you can message me or email me if you like(:

How to Lose Weight With the Master Cleanse

Recommended Answer:

Diet is such a big part of it when trying to lose weight. Until I figured that out even though I worked out like crazy I didn't see the results I wanted to see. "Clean" foods such as lean proteins, vegetables, some grains, and healthy fats such as nuts - if you incorporate those into your diet and avoid the "white stuff" (i.e. anything with sugars, anything with flours, and most milk products or byproducts) you'll be well on your way to getting into amazing shape.I hope that helps! With love ~Kristin

How long will it take a teenager to loose 20 lbs?

I'm overweight by 20 lbs and I want to look good. I think its more about self confidence.. I would feel better if I was 20 lbs lighter.. So If I try to do work outs and eat healthy (compleatly ditching junk food and fast food, eating fruits and veggies, salads, with an acception of small candy once and a while).. How long do you think it would take to loose those 20 lbs.? I think that I'm ready to get myself together and do this. Thanks !! x x x

How to Lose Weight with Coffee

Never diet, many people think that eating salad and nothing will make you lose weight safe but they are wrong. You have to eat your 2000 calorie diet but you have to be careful about want you eat. Avoid junk food because it contains lots of fats. Instead of that eat good protein like chicken and healthy food. Protein can be burned so fast and it feeds you with a lot of proteins and vitamins that your body needs

  • Just as long as it will take a child, adult, and senior.
  • Setting goals is good but in all honesty if you exercise and eat healthy your body will take care of itself. Good luck
  • Well the most a person usually looses in a week is 5 pounds. So with that said 4 weeks. But that's best case scenario. If you half a** your work outs and don't eat well (MAKE SURE U DRINK A LOT OF WATER) then it could take months! I'm trying to lose weight too at the moment. I've lost about 4 this week and I've cut my calorie intake a lot. I'm not eating nearly as much as I used to plus I've been going to the gym. Anyways good luck!!!
  • I believe an average weight loss plan makes you lose about 2 pounds a week which is 2 months and 2 weeks for you however there are many other factors involved. The best thing to do is to stay stress free confident and get a good sleep while you do this.Good luck!
  • It's not about the weight. You're not a jockey. Just eat healthy and exercise, and within weeks you look and feel better. Don't step on the scale. It's not important.
  • You can lose 20 lbs in 2 months. For weight loss, dieting is more effective than exercise. Reducing your intake of junk sugar will help as in items 22 and 106 in http://www.rheumatic.org/sugar.htm The natural sugars in fruits are OK as they are metabolised to glucose slowly due to their high fiber content. Fruits are low in calories and are not fattening. Most fruits are metabolism boosting foods and most vegetables as well and that helps for weight loss.
