What workout do you recommend for me?

Im 18 and my body type is originally mesomorph. But when you've been taking it easy for a while and your dads a chef.... Not good.... I'm 6-2 240 lbs. I have broad shoulders, muscly hard legs, and big arms. But I'm storing some serious fat on the love handles. Also my chest is getting really flabby. I feel like a girl. And my belly doesn't stick out, but it's certainly no six pack. I got some roles goin on. So what workout would recommend for me? Keep in mind, Im a full time student in college, and I have a full time job at knotts Berry Farm... So I might not have the most energy at times. But I do have a 24 hour gym pass. Thanks

How to Lose Weight Fast and Keep it Off

Recommended Answer:

The key to fat loss is not exercise, it's diet.Any exercise will burn calories but no exercise will burn fat unless your diet allows it. You can burn fat in your sleep or you can run all day and never burn any fat. It all depends on your diet. Fat loss is determined by calorie control, not by exercise. Good exercises for burning calories are speed walking, biking, swimming, dancing, etc. and ANY other physical activity which makes you move a lot of weight for a long time. But NO exercise is good for burning fat if you eat too many calories because you can always eat more calories than you can burn but you can't always burn as many as you take in.Too many people waste energy and time because they do not understand this one simple point. The result is too often giving up in frustration, abandoning gym memberships they continue to pay for, and many other unnecessary problems not the least of which is a lack of success. An average person must walk about five miles every day for a week to burn the calories equivalent to a pound of body fat. So, unless you think walking about five miles a day (or doing an equivalent amount of exercise) with no guarantee of fat loss makes sense, focus your fat loss program on diet.Diet for fat loss. Exercise for fitness. Studies have shown that vegetarians suffer from fewer incidences of heart disease, some kinds of cancer, type 2 diabetes, obesity, and more. Lower blood pressure and lower cholesterol are also common in vegetarians when compared to meat eaters.

I have very heavy thick hair. I want to grow about four more inches and it is taking forever. Everything I find online says "add thickness and length.: I have more than enough thickness. I just need length... anyone have this problem? I tried way to grow (not your mother's) shampoo. It did nothing for me. :/Im a graduate student and my hair stylist straightens my hair to make sure my layers are right when i get a trim. I will not try pills or anything and I have heard coconut oil serum may help. In the past year my hair has grown quite a bit so i guess I should be patient. :)My hair is also the oily type and so I have to wash it every day. I have researched this and it is not the wrong thing to do.

Easy ways to lose weight?Ways to help increase metabolism? I have a low metabolism?Help for losing weight?

I''m 14 years old and I weigh 58 kg...These past 3 weeks I''ve been working hard by being careful of what to eat, avoiding fatty foods and eating just 2 meals a day. I exercise everyday in my gym doing bike for 30 mins, treadmill for 30 mins and airwalker for 10 mins...I also lift weights, skip rope and do 100 jumping jacks...(I do all this everday)
I seem not to be moving down for weight...I keep the same weight each week when I check. This is getting me so frustrated! Is there anything I can do?
Also, I want a flat stomach!?

Rapid Weight Loss Sucks - Why Losing Weight Fast Doesn''t Work and What You Can Do About It

Recommended Answer:
Good start. I do have some recommendations, though.

Eat 3+ meals a day, and make each meal smaller. When you just have two meals, your body tends to store more.

Make sure the diet stays balanced. Don''t cut out all fats, especially leaving in some good fat (such as olive or fish oil). Try to stay in the 2000 calorie range, or perhaps even 2500 with that workout. You don''t want to lose the weight too fast, or it tends to gain back just as fast.

Regarding your stomach, you could replace some of that cardio workout with calisthenics, such as crunches. Also, what type of weight training are you doing? Not all training regimens target the stomach.

There are several ''walls'' along the way, as your body readjusts and fights to not lose more weight. Perhaps you are hitting one early? Just be patient, it breaks down soon enough.

  • Diet and exercise! No healthier way
  • Stop weighting yourself. Once a month is enough.
You are 14 so be careful not to blow out your adrenals.
•Create a Comprehensive Plan for yourself.
    • Get a Moleskin Wellness Journal. Keep track of your daily activity.
•Don''t over exercise, you have to let your body adjust and react.
•make sure you are working with your caregiver and surround yourself with people who want your success.
•Dovetail The Mediterranean Diet and Weight Watcher''s Points System. Do Not skip meals.
•Get "Creative Visualization and create a Vision Map of what you want your life to be like once you meet your goal.
•Remember you still have to make a life for yourself once the weight is off.

Should i rest after 4 days of cardio?

I''m a runner in general but i haven''t actually in a while and i was amazed at how fast you can get out of shape! I''ve been trying to lose a little weight i''m like 136 and i would like to be around 125. I''ve been running for the past four days and i wanted to know if it''s best for me to not do much today.

Lose Weight For Free Fast And The Foods That Help You Lose Weight

Recommended Answer:
Generally I would say yes taking a day off to rest is a good idea, but that really depends on how much or how far you''ve been running these past 4 days. If you''re only running for 15 minutes a day then taking a day off isn''t going to do much for you. If you''re running for 30 minutes to an hour (or +) a day, then of course, yes, take a rest day. I agree with the other posters. If you want to lose weight, drink lots of water, eat non processed foods, exercise 3-5 times a week, with 3 days being focused on cardio-running/walking/cycling/yoga, and the other two being focused on muscle building. You can always add running days when you feel three days a week is too easy.

Good luck and happy running :-)

  • You ideally should alternate cardio with weights or resistance training so 3 days of cardio in a week ought to be sufficient. I''m not sure if you are a gym patron or not but fitness centres will let you know but if you''re doing this on your own then you might like to cut the cardio to 3 times a week & do either weight, resistance or endurance training (cycling) for the other days
  • Resting is the best choice so far but eating healthy will make you drop weight the quickest.. run 2-3 times a week say for instance mon then wed or mon wed & fri give yourself a break here and there dont over do it....remember 6-8 glasses of water a day..im a football player for highschool and they take that seriously so i would know....:)) hope i was able to help
  • I listen to my body....for the most part, as I pushed a 9 miler after already running 20 miles in three days but for the most part I say let your body be your guide. If your legs feel good then go out, the body tells you to rest unlike me I ignore those signs but I don''t suggest for you to do so.

Help me loose weight and gain muscle?

I have been working out 5 days a week for 54 days straight. I switch between cardio, yoga, weight resistance. I have been eating an organic, limited dairy, mostly gluten free diet. I have been taking vitamins for my pcos. I have been been walking everywhere. I even tried weigh powder. I have lost twp pounds. No inches. My clothes feel the same. I sweat hard everytime I workout. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG??

Lose Weight Fast - How NOT to Lose Weight Fast!

Recommended Answer:
Actually, it''s totally possible to gain muscle and lose weight at the same time. Lift more (weight), run more (if you''re not already, work up to it - running is a great cardio exercise that will definitely help you lose weight) and stick to a schedule with both diet and exercise. Know what exercise you''re going to be doing on any given day and try to eat at specified times. Some people swear by eating six small meals a day, while others say you shouldn''t eat more than three. Find out what''s best for your body, some trial and error can be expected. Also, drink plenty of water. Staying hydrated is crucial. Make sure you work out at least four times a week but give yourself adequate rest (listen to your body). Other than that, sometimes t just takes a while for people to actually start "dropping" the weight. Remember that this SHOULD take a while in order for it to be maintained weight loss. Stick to it and you''ll see improvements.

  • Its actually almost impossible to lose weight and gain muscle at the same time.

First work on gaining muscle and eating lots of protien. Dont worry about losing weight but gain muscle. (After a few weeks of this you may end up a few pounds heavier but thats okay)

Then after a few weeks of that work on losing weight to show off the muscle you have gained. Eat less calories a day and do cardio. If you count your calories and do lots of cardio then u shud loose weight.

So for 2 weeks work on strengthening (with normal amount of calories)

Then for 2 more weeks work on cardio
    (Small anount of calories)
