How many miles per day a should a teenage girl run to be healthy?

In order to stay in shape, not to try and lose weight. And how many times a week? Also, what do you think a good mile time is?I'm 15 if that makes any difference and usually run 3-5 miles 6 days a week but I wasn't always consistent until later in July. Is this not enough?

I run 4 miles 5 days a week at 8 minutes pace ( a good pace for practice) and I'm healthy. But you don't have to run to stay healthy, it is good for you though. A good mile time in girls highschool track races would be around 5 minutes. But in cross country races it would you run 5k so your pace should be 6:30-7 minutes a mile. I wouldn't run that fast in practice though.

  • a good mile time is like maybe 8-13 minutes 2 miles is good and go about every other day yes that is actually really good
  • You don't need to run to be healthy. A brisk walk a day will do it if you eat healthy.
