You seem like you know what you are doing, my only advises to you from personnal experiences are:-don t over work yourself to avoid injuries and muscles non response to training. - avoid diet based on starving-workout 30minutes to 1 hour a day- eat white meat, chicken, fish for your muscle proteine and fruit and vegetables -avoid sweetened product like coke...-dring water and be patient, you do that you will be proud of yourself because it will be rewarding, just plz don t over workout to don t hurt your back and muscles unless you r trying to get to a competition. I hope that was helpful good luck

  • Yoga
  • It's easier to pick one goal, either bulk up or lose fat. In order to gain muscle you need to eat a caloric surplus (preferably of good, healthy foods) with ample protein (the rule of thumb is 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight - so if you weigh 170lb, aim for about 170grams of protein a day). If you don't watch this like a hawk then you might gain a little fat doing this, but your muscles will be growing as well so don't worry. Once you reach a goal size/strength/time, you can lower your caloric intake and eat at a slight defecit in order to cut your weight down, and get better muscle definition. Also make sure your muscles are getting rest between workouts, some people react better to a three day split and some to a five, so learn what is good for you.

Ia there any medicine that can break up something hard in the stomach?

Been severly constipated for 5 years the docters only prescribe laxatives and fibre.is there anything els that's stronger?

How to Run to Lose Weight

For constipation, medication is only a very temporary solution if it works.Wheat germ and wheat bran are very high fiber foods that often help for constipation.Constipation can cause anal fissures, hemorrhoids and also some far more serious problems as in http://au.search.yahoo.com/search?p=%22rectal+bleeding%22&fr=ush-ans.You probably need to improve your diet as you seem to have a constipation problem. For constipation, castor oil is very good for a one-off remedy as in http://au.search.yahoo.com/search?p=%22castor+oil+for+constipation%22&fr=ush-ans but it is unsuitable for regular use. For constipation, suppositories, laxatives, fiber supplements and enemas are all totally unnecessary if you eat the right foods. All fruit and vegetables in very large amounts are laxative. You need to permanently change your diet or you are likely to get colon cancer. Constipation can make you extremely unwell and can lead to colon cancer as it causes a build up of carcinogenic toxins in the system. The intake of foods such as milk, cheese, white rice, white flour and red meat should be restricted, because they tend to contribute to constipation. Any food that has had the fiber stripped out, the nutrients processed out or slows down the digestion is a constipation culprit. Here's a list of foods shown to cause constipation problems: •Meats, especially fatty meats, red meat and processed meats, •Dairy Products, such as cheese, ice cream and whole milk, •Fast Foods – burgers, French fries and other fried foods, pizza, etc., •Refined grains, like white rice or any refined white flour products, •Highly starchy foods – white potatoes, corn and all refined grains, •Pastries and other high sugar products, such as cakes, cookies and pies, •Deep-fried foods, chips and other foods that are high in bad fats. You can see lots more in http://au.search.yahoo.com/search?p=%22natural+ways+to+relieve+constipation%22&fr=ush-ans which tells you "Natural Ways to Relieve Constipation" and the right foods to eat.

I have big calves! How to slim down my legs?

22, been playing tennis since I was 13.
I gained quite a bit of weight especially during high school, lost the weight at the end of high school, but still have big calves. They''ve been pretty ever since I noticed in elementary.

Some of my friends who play tennis have slim legs, and some do not but they all are extremely skilled.
My calf muscles do stick out and my legs/ankles are slim.

Can it be a natural thing? I''m 5''1 and a half at 120.
Any tips to slim them down?

Thanks!
I would be lying if they were pure muscles! Lol!

I played softball too in middle and high school. The darn socks and pants were such a hassle around the calf area!

Holiday Weight Loss Tips - How to Lose Weight During the Holiday Season

Calves are those kind of muscles that are very much determined by genetics. If someone was born with nice calves, they''ll always have nice calves. I''m a competitive athlete, and love the look of muscle. Unfortunately I don''t have those good genes for nice calves.
I''m training my ass of to get them bigger but it is very difficult to change their size, let that be up or downsizing. I would "kill" for big calves (muscle).

You''re saying they''re not all muscle. Well because there''s no such thing as local fat loss, if you keep losing weight, you''ll lose fat from various parts of the body. You can''t really determine from where, it depends on your metabolism, body type and your hormones (and genetics). Normally the "newest" fat goes first. The fat that you''ve been carrying for the longest will be the most difficult to get rid of.

Muscles give shape and curves to the body. Embrace your gift, it just does not look good when someone has stick legs. Be proud of them and don''t think that they don''t look good. It''s the opposite. Nice calves make you look fit and sporty. Since you''ve lost weight, it probably gives you a more athletic look too. Especially if you have small joints. That''s the best combination! You have very good "material" to look phenomenal. Good luck!

PS
Or just give them to me, I would swap. LOL hehe.
God bless

  • it depends on if they''re pure muscle if not go hiking to tone them... my calf muscles are very large also because i played softball for 14 years and it sucks because nothing fits right :(

Is it better to decrease calorie intake gradually or all at once?

Would my body respond better to a gradual reduction in calories? For example instead of going straight to 1300 calories a day would it be better to decrease a little each week?

Weight Loss - Are You Fighting With Yourself to Lose Weight?

gradually. doing it all at once is too much of a shock for your body. you''ll lose the weight, but your metabolism will slow down much quicker too

  • I decreased right away and say the best results, try eating foods that fill you up, with less calories, like oatmeal! And special K bars!
  • Oh child you have so much to learn. I am as well eating in a more proper manner to obtain the great body i wishfully desire. What you believe is obsurd. To lose weight you must reduce your carb, sodium and fat intake, not calories. Calories are a unit of measurment for energy. What are you going to eat? Those 90 calorie bars...little do you know those bars have almost 20 grams of carbs and sugars! Almost as much carbs as a banana! And that bar is probably filled with simple carbs! Honestly, you must know how to lose weight properly or else u will so no results

How to lose 20-25 pounds in 4-5 months?

I need to lose 20-25 pounds and tone up my body all in 4-5 months, but i''m not sure what exercises and what to eat to do it all.
I need to save up money so I can''t go to the gym or anything (maybe sometimes) so is there any way to lose weight and tone up your body with exercises that don''t need machines or anything like that.
Right now I go to Aikido once a week and I''m jumping on the trampoline and sometimes going outside with my brother to do rolls and stuff like that.

So all I need is a schedule that will help me, not just tell me what I need to do.
I currently weight around 132 pounds and I want to go down to 120 till august.

  • I was fat for a large portion of my life, and this sounds exactly like what I did when I started trying to lose weight. I felt tired, fatigued, and just depressed. Oh, I was hungry the whole time and lost no weight. So, please, do not do what I did.

This is one of the most common mistakes people make when trying to lose weight. There is a certain, specific list of nutrients and foods your body needs when you are trying to lose weight. When you deprive your body of what it needs, it literally shuts down. This is why, if you keep doing what you are doing, you won''t see results.

I know how you feel; having unwanted bodyweight is extremely frustrating. Through years of trial and error I found something that worked for me, and now my clients. There is a balance that, when put into place, makes weight loss laughably easy. I can’t really explain all of it here, but my website will really help you http://www.secret.lightmindfitness.com

How long will it take to notice a difference in my weight?

I am an otherwise healthy 30 year old mother of 2. I have been eating around 1200 calories for 7 days now and just started working out at the YMCA. I go 3-4 times per week, doing lots of cardio on the EFX and treadmill. I just had a hysterectomy, so I can''t really do a whole lot more than just those two pieces of machinery. 2 more weeks, and I''m released 100%. I just wondered for those of you out there who know, how long should it take me to start noticing a change in my body and/or change on the scale? Also -what kind of workout routine works best for someone trying to lose about 50 pounds? Most of my weight is in my belly. I''m tired of getting asked how far along I am! I know everyone is different, but just would like a general idea of everyone who responds. Thanks for reading!

Three Reasons Why You Should Lose Weight

Recommended Answer:
This months diet is next months body. What you eat in private you wear in public. That''s what I tell myself. Give it some time. It''s kind of like a delayed reaction. Remember give it:
4 weeks for you to notice
8 weeks for family and friends to notice
12 weeks for the world to notice

  • Be realistic in your expectations. Ligaments are severed during hysterectomy, which can cause the pelvis to widen and the rib cage to settle a bit lower. Diet and exercise won''t help that. But you will feel and look better if you eat healthily and keep your body moving. Don''t pull your stomach in, and don''t tuck your butt. You may be doing these things in an effort not to look pregnant. But you are compromising the support for the remaining organs, which used to rely on the round ligaments of the uterus for support. Instead, relax the belly and pull your chest up strongly for a nice stretch. By doing this you will eventually restore a good lower lumbar curve, which will help your hips and spine remain healthy through the years. This will also take organ pressure off the vagina and help delay or prevent the prolapsing of other organs. Be good to yourself!
