How to Break a Weight Loss Plateau

Recommended Answer:

You should loose weight no faster than you gained it in the first place. Eat less and exercise more. You want to lose fat, not muscle.

Other Answers:

  • Eat better/portion control/regular exercisethat is really it. but you have to dedicate yourself..
  • Dont "eat less", Eat the right foods. Switch to a vegan diet and find a good exercise plan. For an exercise plan check out : http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/find-a-plan-fat-loss-2039-female.htmlDieting Advice check out: http://vegweb.com/

How can one reset their appestat?

I feel as if I have lost the ability to feel full. Is there an eating program (not a diet) that can help people get back in touch with their hunger/appetite signals? I am just slowly overcoming an eating disorder and I think getting my stomach to be able to feel that "full" feeling again would greatly help my recovery. If anyone has any suggestions It would be very much appreciated.

How to Lose Weight Safely as a Diabetic

It may be dangerous for me to recommend an approach without understanding what kind of eating disorder you've recovered from. I am not a medical professional, so my opinions are based upon my own experience with food addiction. This may or may not apply in your situation.None the less, there some general guidelines for healthy eating that apply to the vast majority of people. It's very helpful to consume a balance of nutrients without overdoing rich foods such as dairy (milk, cheese, eggs, yogurt), meat (beef, pork, poultry, fish), salt, sugar, fat, caffeine, alcohol, refined oils, and food additives. The optimal diet for humans is a Whole Food, Plant Based (WFPB) diet as recommended by the top nutrition researchers in the world including: T. Colin Campbell, Neal Barnard, and Caldwell Esselstyn, Jr.If you have a tendency to overeat, a balanced WFPB diet will eliminate the addiction to junk food and provide you with very filling fiber and phytonutrients. The biochemistry involved in overeating and food addiction is very well explained in the following book:"Breaking the Food Seduction: The Hidden Reasons Behind Food Cravings---And 7 Steps to End Them Naturally" by Neal D. BarnardThe advantage of whole plant based foods is the fact that the fiber makes your stomach feel full and the phytonutrients give you a feeling of satisfaction. I personally follow a week long water fast (consuming only water) once every six months or so, under the careful supervision of a medical professional. This resets my appetite. It is safe if your blood work and other vitals are carefully monitored by a knowledgeable medical professional. For more information, read:"Fasting and Eating for Health: A Medical Doctor's Program for Conquering Disease" by Joel Fuhrman (Author) , Neal D. Barnard (Foreword) It's the WFPB diet that allows for rapid weight loss, but fasting helps patients learn to sense real hunger versus symptoms of withdrawal from addicting food like substances. Again, work with a medical professional who understands fasts. Some clinics offer resort like settings to teach you everything you need to do to follow a healthy diet. From a psychological perspective, it's very helpful to understand how we are genetically programmed to eat. I recommend the following book:"The Pleasure Trap: Mastering the Hidden Force that Undermines Health & Happiness Paperback"by Douglas J. Lisle (Author) , Alan Goldhamer (Author) I hope that this information will be of help to you.

I feel like I am getting too big too fast?

Just recently (maybe about 9 days ago), my pregnant belly has really started to show. It's like my whole abdomen has become rounder and is protruding now too.I feel like I look funny, because my legs and arms haven't changed much (although my hips have become a bit wider and I've put on a bit of fat on my thighs). But I feel very disproportionate. I'm afraid my doctor will tell me I've gained too much weight this Friday.I weighed myself this morning, and I think I have gained 7 pounds! My last weigh in was a month ago. I have been eating very healthy! Like healthier than most people would even if they weren't pregnant. And about 4-5 days a week I am walking for over an hour and a half (I do fast walking so it is actually a work out).I feel like my doctor will say I am putting on weight too fast, and I know I will feel really ashamed and embarrassed. What can I do to lose a few pounds safely while pregnant?I am 22 weeks

How to Lose Weight and Kick Start Your Metabolism

Recommended Answer:

Some women gain weight consistently through their entire pregnancy. Some gain rapidly at one point or another. Some don't gain weight at all. Some are so sick through their entire pregnancy, that if they gained any weight at all, their midwife high-fived them and gave them a hug (me included). If you are eating well and exercising, then relax and wait to hear what your doctor says. If your arms and your legs haven't changed much, then odds are, it's pretty much all baby weight. You're reaching the stage when your baby stops developing as much and puts more focus into growing bigger and putting on fat. You will also need the fat stores for when you are breastfeeding. You're not getting fat. You're growing a human being. Focus on growing a healthy baby. Cut yourself some slack. You can worry about losing weight once the baby is born happy and healthy.Good luck!

Other Answers:

  • while every pregnancy is different yu gonna gain weight some woman gain like 25 pounds yu gonna gain weight each month but yur different thobut good luck
  • If you've only gained 7 pounds in 22 weeks of pregnancy that's not much. I gained 75 with my first and 50 with my 2nd. You are being completely irrational. You need that fat to breast feed your child.
