I am only 164 cm (5"4) and weigh 87kg !! CRAP :(?

OK, a year and a half ago I weight 61 kg and was happy with that, then I started uni full time and so my exercise and diet became less important than my studies. Presently I weigh 87 kg and am only 5"4, I asked my doctor what I should do about it and she said it wasn't that bad!! but I know it's bad! So basically I am asking for tips on how to lose weight (QUICKLY) and also if you have lost weight could you share your success story :)p.s I should probably mention that- I am a stockier build (or curvier) and don't actually have fat rolls,- People tell me that I don't need to lose weight (they don't know how much I weigh and im pretty sure they are just being nice) - I have gone from an Australian size 10 to an Australian size 14-16 :(Ok let me re-word this, I used to be 61 kg (134 pounds), but I have put on 26kg and NOW I WEIGH 87kg (191 pounds) .

How to Lose Weight From Face

Sigh. I totally feel you.I went from 50kg to 62 in a single school year! crazy. I had lost 5, but then gained 15!However, this was from following crazy diet fads that starve you and pretty much kill your metabolism.I fell into a cycle of binge eating since I was also using food to cope with stress and studies.Anyway, I'm still in recovery phase, but I've come a long way in terms of knowledge.I've researched foods, diets, workouts, exercises, metabolism, eating disorders.I really wanted a change and I wanted to learn everything I could.I tried so many diets that made me so upset when I failed them, so many pointless 'workout programs' of crunches x 1000000anyway. Now I follow IIFYM, a flexible dieting system. I eat healthy, but also enjoy an occasional treat if I've been doing well throughout the day. I find ways to cope with stress like working out, listening to music, punching stuff. I workout as often as possible- I find lifting weights is a great way to relieve stress and also manage weight. I havent lost any weight yet, but I'm staying away from the scale so i don't feel bad. I think it's more important to commit to something in order to see results.I think the hardest part with weight loss is patience. It hard to keep going when you can't see results, but you've got to stick to it and just enjoy the process :)

  • It's actually a fine weight for your height. 61kg is 134 pounds. You could just exercise to get rid of fat. In turn, you will lose weight.
  • shit girl I'm 5'8 and 132 your not that bad.You could weigh like 180. That would be bad.You just have a bit of chub. Maybe you could do yoga? does not take a lot of time and you can do it at homeTrust me. I used to think I was fat because all my friends weigh 120 and I'm 5'8 and weigh 132 but when I did yoga it gave me the appearance of weighing 120!

How to Count Carbohydrates to Lose Weight

Average weight loss is only 9-15lbs a year, so this is a long term lifestyle issue not a quick fix. You require both an appropriate diet and very regular vigorous exercise.

  • Your body can no longer process carbs. You don't gain that much weight unless your body has a metabolic imbalance. The most young females usually average is 1-2# a week, so it might be possible to lose up to 100# in a year but it depends on your personal metabolic resistance to losing weight. The easier it is to gain weight, the harder it is to lose weight. Unfortunately, anyone who accumulates over 30# of excess fat is more than likely insulin resistant. Long term ingestion of highly refined carbs "burn out" the insulin receptors on muscle cells, so calories go directly to fat cells, leaving muscle cells screaming for nutrition. Exercise forces muscles to accept glucose out of the bloodstream without the need for insulin. Most people get obese because their bodies just can't process carbs any more. They become insulin resistant & carbs go straight to fat cells. As healthy as fruit may be, it just doesn't promote fat loss. Fructose, the sugar in fruits, creates triglycerides which "trap" fat in fat cells. The body won't release fat stores until the blood stream is free of insulin. In someone insulin resistant, the insulin response is too sensitive & produces too much insulin. Simple carbs are addictive & can be disastrous to health. The best way to break the addiction is NO carbs for 3 days. Make a batch of deviled eggs, eat one every time you want "something" - have huge omelets with bacon, sausage, peppers, mushrooms & cheese. Meats smothered with peppers, mushrooms & cheese - pork rinds & dip or tuna/chicken/egg salad - sugar free cheese cake. Eat so much you won't feel deprived of anything. By the 4th day, the addiction will be gone & the low carb way of eating will create a natural appetite suppression that makes it much easier to make healthy choices. You can lose more body fat eating protein & fat (don't eat protein alone) than not eating AT ALL. To lose weight fast, eat all you want, but nothing but meat, eggs, healthy oils, mayo, butter & half an avocado a day (for added potassium). Keep the calories high & the fat percentage high, at least 65% of calories. Green vegetables & some cheese will continue weight loss but at a slower pace. The first 2 weeks eat several cups a day of (mostly) lettuce & celery, cucumbers, radishes, mushrooms, peppers & more variety of vegetables thereafter - add 5 grams per day additional every week (20 grams day first 2 weeks, 25grams 3rd week, 30grams 4th week etc) til you gain weight, then subtract 10grams. That will be your personal carb level (everyone is different & depends on how active you are.) Start with meat, fats & salads for 2 weeks and then slowly add in more green veg, wk4 fresh cheeses, wk5 nuts & seeds, wk6 berries, wk7 legumes, wk8 other fruits, wk9 starchy veg, wk10 whole grains. You will learn how your body reacts to different foods. The first week is just water weight but fat is lost thereafter if you keep your calories high enough. Otherwise the body will strip it's own lean tissue for nutrition. Although that may look great on a scale it will make it MUCH easier to accumulate fat in the future (since all that pesky lean tissue burning up calories will be gone). The body won't release fat stores if you lower calories below what it needs. It will slow metabolism to compensate & store every spare ounce as fat. If you continue lowering calories, it will continue lowering the set point, til it can survive off nothing & store fat on anything. The body will only release it's fat stores if it knows there is plenty of nutritious food. Eating carbs while trying to lose body fat is terribly inefficient. When in glycolysis (burning glucose as fuel) you have to lower your calories (which slows your metabolism) & exercise heavily to deplete your glycogen stores before burning body fat. The core of Atkins program is converting the body from glycolysis (burning glucose as fuel) to ketosis (burning fat as fuel). Dietary fat levels need to be at >65% of total calories, if not, the body will still remain in glycolysis by converting 58% of excess protein into glucose (via gluconeogenesis). It takes minimum of 3 days to convert a body to ketosis, (but only one bite to convert back to glycolysis). People feel sluggish the first week but most feel better than ever thereafter. High insulin levels promote inflammation, weight gain, hunger & unbalance other hormones. Controlling insulin levels will balance out other hormones & allow human growth hormone (HGH) to be produced naturally so lean muscle will be gained even without exercise. Ground flax seed (4 Tbsp) 1/4 cup water, artificial sweetener, mix in a raw egg - let sit 10 min. to absorb liquid, put cream cheese in the middle & nuke 2 min. for daily fiber needs.
  • In one year I think you can possibly get down to 170 maybe? You have to stay dedicated to losing weight and keeping yourself on a diet. Do cardio work outs 4-5 hours a day while taking 10-15 minute breaks each hour.

About how long will it take for my breasts to grow after first period?

I'm 14 about 5'1 And about 110lbs I started my 1st period last week and I barley fill an A cup my dads side of the family all have DDs and my moms side has B cup. I was wondering if some one could maybe guess about what size I'll be so I know what to expect. Thank you.

There's absolutely no way to tell you what size you'll be or when your breasts will grow - menarche and breast growth are two different aspects of menstruation, they're not tied together in any way so starting to get your periods doesn't mean your breasts will grow any sooner or faster. Everyone develops at different rates, so you'll simply have to wait and see how your breasts develop naturally. Most of your breast development occurs within your teens while you go through puberty, and into your twenties when fat distribution changes so that you 'fill-out', which can include developing fuller breasts. Even after your twenties breast can continue to change in size due to weight changes, hormonal changes, pregnancy and breast feeding. The breast sizes of the other women in your family don't necessarily give you any insight either, although genetics is a factor there's nothing to say you'll develop the same as your mother or other female family members - breast growth largely comes down to environmental factors such as health and diet. Your breasts may stay an A cup, or they may grow to DD cups or larger - no way to tell.

Other Answers:

  • Typically your breasts start developing two years before your first period and usually reach their full size between the ages of 18-20. When your period becomes more regular, your breasts will most likely grow at a more steady rate. I was an A cup when I started my period and eventually they grew into a C cup a few years later.
  • By the way you sound it sounds like your a late bloomer my mom got her period when she was 16 and she had a double a but now she is a b cup. Don't worry about it you'll grow and I know how you feel because everyone has like c and up on my moms side and I am 14 5'1 and a 32a. So I understand don't let it get to you you'll grow. Hope this helped.
