What types of weight loss exercises can I do without putting strain on my knees?

What types of weight loss exercises can I do without putting to much strain on my knees? I'm already on a good diet, in menopause, 5 foot 5, and I need to loose at least 60 lbs. Hopefully in 1 years time.

How to Lose Weight in Your Legs in a Week

Recommended Answer:

If your goal is to lose weight for better health, then you should try cross-training machines instead of a stairmaster, stationary bike, or treadmill. Impact exercises take their toll on the knees and a cross-trainer is the best alternative if you want to burn calories without facing the consequences of impact. At the very least, you can do aerobics and cardio on mats or heavily padded floors. It's best if you pair your exercise program with proper nutrition, with supplementation if necessary. Some of the bodybuilding supplements online come with components that cover for nutrition gaps in your diet, and you can also choose formulations which target specific deficiencies. You can view here at the source link below for ideas on how to make the most out of your menopause years.

  • I also have crappy knees, I cannot run on concrete/tarmac or uneven surfaces. I am fine running on the treadmill though as it takes some of the impact. If you are not good on the treadmill then use the cross trainer, your feet never lift off the platforms so it only involves the knee bending and has no impact.
  • weight loss from exercise is almost impossible. Studies have shown a professional athlete can not work off bad eating. I remember reading the university study on this. Weight loss comes from actually eating well. Eat good proteins and fibers. Breads, potatoes and cheese are big problems. Slow your bowels and hinder weight loss. Key is bowels working daily and good food. MiroLax is a good start, daily will make your bowels work. Eat foods that make you go. A steak with a lot of fat will make bowels work. eggs, chicken and lean pork are actually good for you. Not fattening and gives the nutrition you need. I lost more than this and could not exercise. I had spine operation.
  • you can buy some foam rollers and use them for your workout. No need to strain much on your knees though.
  • I had a big problem with my weight also, some time ago, the one thing I could say about exersizes - it was wasting of time and money, I also have a very big problem with my knees, especially when I jogging too much. Just look at this from this point of view, 1kg of fat is equal to about 7000 calories wich means you have to excersize about 20-22 hours to burn it, just count it and decide is it worth that effort.I had tried this for a one year period, I love swimming and done it 4-5 times a week for one hour, the end result was I lost only couple of kilos that year, but I realized it was wasting of time, 1-2 times a week it is maybe ok, but not 5-6. Then I read somewhere about diet and some supplements, and thanks to that I lost over 30 kg.About dietary supplement I`ve used - it was pure green coffee extract, you can read a lot of reviews people who already taking it on this sitehttp://pure-green-coffee-bean-extract.comJust open any "VIEW DETAILS" subpage of any product and at the bottom you will see the reviews, I am not convincing you to buy it, just read what other people think about it`s efficiency and decide is it ok for you or not. This what I can say about it helped me a lot.
