I don't get it, I've been dieting.forever and not losing weight fast, while working out and.doing lots of cardio. i get about 1500-1700 cals a day. and i just spent last night drinking.. a lot. mostly liquor . and eating pretzels and some chips. and this morning i look leaner than any other morning. it doesn't make sense... do i need to be taking in a lot more calories to lose weight?

It's a temporary thing. You're dehydrated and have lost your subcutaneous fluid making you look more lean and defined. Being that dehydrated isn't good for you though so don't make a habit of it.
