How much weight can be lost eating just fruits and vegetables?

I'm a 15 year old girl, 5'4-5'5, 165 pounds. Now, before people assume I'm just a stupid girl wanting to drop pounds fast I actually want to do this to boost my health. I grew up being sick all the time and have already had to have my gall bladder removed in just the last few months. I honestly just want to be healthier and dropping a few pounds along the way doesn't sound too bad either. I've learned that for my height and build that my "ideal" weight is around 117 lbs and that number kind of scares me at the moment so i guess my goal would be around 130-140 and i can work up from there or stop, depending on how I feel about myself. I am an athlete and I play for almost 6 months out of the year, sometimes more, and when I'm not I manage my school's volleyball team which actually is more of a workout than you think. However, I already have a membership at my local gym and I plan to work out everyday after school, if possible, for at least an hour. I have an aunt who eats just fruits and vegetables and makes up for some of the protein she misses out on with protein shakes and vitamins. I have seriously never seen a more healthy woman in my life and she looks amazing for her age(Around 40). I dont really know what foods would be ideal for a lifestyle like this one (veggies that have protein etc) and I'm just looking for information. I dont have a time limit because i want this to be as healthy and natural as possible. So PLEASE refrain from being rude and telling me this is impossible because i personally know someone whos living this way. I'd really help if you could list foods or ways you think would work better. Thank you~

So i think your talking about a vegan diet if you just want to eat fruits and vegetables. A diet as such can be very healthy for you, but only if you do the diet correctly. You wont just drop weight from switching onto such a diet. If you exercise whilst on said diet, you will definitely be healthier and lost fat faster than if you eat meat and dairy. Switching will be difficult for the first week or two, but eventually, you don't even think about it and you will be back to normal (your body has to adjust to the change in diet). You will get less protein on a vegan or vegetarian diet but (assuming you do the diet correctly), it will be easy to get all your daily protein and more. You do not need to take supplements for anything (again, IF you do it correctly). Remember that this diet will not make you continuously lose weight, it will just prevent you from gaining lots of fat, raising cholesterol levels, and so forth. When going on a diet like this, remember that you will no longer get twice or three times your daily protein anymore (astonishing but you would be surprised how much extra protein meat gives you), so you will need to factor in that you are exercising to make sure that you get the proper amount of protein. I think you should see a nutritionist or dietitian about this, as the will often be the best source. Sometimes they may tell you its impossible to have no meat or whatever in your diet. I once went to a nutritionist years ago and they had no idea what they were talking about, they said i would lose weight non stop because i needed meat and dairy in my diet. Now its been 4 years since I've gone vegan and Im healthy (my parents were so worried they had me get blood tests to make sure lol. What your doing is fantastic.
