How accurate are those calorie estimation apps?

I have one (my plate calorie tracker) and it say I should eat around 2,327 cals but it seems a little high being that it takes around 3,000 to lose a pound. I'm don't know much about this im trying to lose weight I'm 186 ( most is muscle/ water) and I'm. 5"2 if that helps
