How to Help Your Family Lose Weight

Ever heard the term abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym? This is the ultimate truth. There is no such thing as spot weight loss (aka loosing weight in just one area). Abs are 80% diet and 20% gym. At the gym you will want to do exercises that engage either your lower abs or obliques. By doing these you will also be doing work with your upper abs, but if you do exercises just for upper abs (crunches) you wont work obliques or lower. These are leg lifts, bicycle crunches etc. And you also have to include cardio (running intervals, jump rope etc).As far as diet is concerned you need to eat clean. Which means good carbs, good fats and protein. Fish, almond oil, olive oil, greek yogurt, turkey, chicken, lean red meat, almonds, brown rice etc. The higher sugar and saturated fats you eat the harder it will be to lose. Hope this helps!

- Fish oil pills they boost your matbolism. Try crunches.
- look this is the most important thing to know. you can get a flat stomach, but you can NOT get it fast!!! It takes a long time to get it flat, and the stomach is one of the hardest places. It is important to know that doing sit ups and crunches a couple times a day will NOT help you. In order to loose it you need to work out your entire body at least a little bit because your body needs to get 'warmed up'. It kind of goes in a mode where it will burn fat, but you need to get it in that mode by doing something like jogging for 10-15 min or doing a cardio workout. Nothing ridiculous though. Then you can start doing ab exorcizes and stuff. Here is a video of a good ab workout that you should do after warming up http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zz9QWdBH2AAlso, be sure to drink a protein shake or protein bar 30 min after exorcizing! Just remember it says 6-weeks cause that is the minimum it will take. But stick to it and you will see results! No slacking!as for diet, just avoid fast food. Thats all I do really. Good luck!
- OK listen to Jennifer she knows what shes talking about. Dont listen to all the idiots who are taking about doing ab workouts to burn stomach fat, it does not work. The science of the human body tell us that fat burning happens all over the body. You can not just remove it from the stomach and defiantly not through doing sit ups, crunches or any other type of ab training.Do some cardio and weight training to "tone up" . The most important and the hardest is your diet, eat clean (low sugar and bad fats). Just eat slow digesting carbs and healthy fats and a good amount of protein.
