I eat 200 calories a day then the next day 400, 600 the third day, fast the fourth day and repeat. Is this too much calorie intake? Should I eat less?I'm 5'2 and currently 106 lbs. I drink lots of water and am currently jogging every morning. Monday through Friday I have color guard practice from 2-5pm and then Marching Practice from 6-9pm. Also I rarely eat dinner ( unless I know the calorie count ) just lunch and sometimes breakfast. I never eat anything unless I know the calorie count. Are my eating habits normal?
How to Detox Your Body and Lose Weight at The Same Time

Just because you only eat 600-700 calories DOES NOT make you anorexic. The only way you would be considered having an eating disorder or "anorexic" is if you eat that many calories in order to lose weight....or with these signs: 1) look in the mirror and are never satisfied with the way you look. You always think you need to lose weight. Sometimes, you can be bigger and do this, but the thing is if you lose a certain amount of weight and instead of thinking "great, go me!" you automatically think "i could lose some more..." 2) You are obsessed with calories/counting calories. whether that's not eating foods because you don't know the calories in them, or keeping food diaries so that you can keep track of every single thing you consume. 3) you are obsessed with weighing yourself. (once a week is normal or healthy. obsession is weighing every day, or more than once a day, tracking your weight and over-reacting to tiny fluctuations in weight) -trust me....I've lived through this hell and battled it for quite some time now....Other Answers:
- It is way too little.
- No, this is not normal. :|You are currently starving yourself. You should be eating 1500 calories a day.
- No they arnt nornal there minimal. If your working out and running eat 3 meals. Starving youraelf does not work trust me.
- My cat eats more then thatIf your a kid you should be aiming for 1200
- Well I hear people should eat 2000 calories a day, I'm 14, 5'2" and 115lb, so unless you're younger than me, you seem kind of underweight and should eat more.
- Far too little. The average person eats in excess of 2000 calories a day. Michael Phelps ate something like 12000 calories while training. There are plenty of calorie calculators online to help give you suggestions.
- No, you should be eating at least 1500 calories EVERY DAY, you should know this, you are on the path to becoming anorexic, please stop, it's not good for you
- if you eat 600 calories a day you will lose weight. you will not maintain your weight and you will not gain weight.you will lose muscle mass and you will be very unhealthyyou need at least 1400 calories a day.You can eat 1600 calories per day if you do jogging, your body needs energy and enough vitamins.Hope this helpes my friend was same and she became anorexic
- Well first off see a doctor and ask whats the normal weight for your height, age, and gender. Then try to mainten that if thats what your concern is. But you should increase that to be healthy i don't think thats good for your body. Your body is working extra hard to have energy to keep you going.
- No!! It sounds like you have an eating disorder. You're eating waaay too little. You should really talk to someone about this and get a healthy diet as soon as you can. You're going to be too tired and weak for color guard or marching practice on the amount of food your eating. Your muscles are going to start to deteriorate if you don't do something about your eating habit. Also, if nothing changes, you're hair will fall out, you'll get split ends, and loose muscle tissue. Get some help!!
- Have you talked to your doctor about your dieting plans? Also, take into consideration about how old you are... You didn't mention your age, so I wouldn't know, but a woman should be consuming at least 1200 calories a day at the most, men around 1500 calories. I would say talk to your doctor about it, because it sounds unhealthy, and he/she might want to help you create/ make some changes to your dieting plans to suit your age, gender, body type, etc.
- Thats definitly not healhty and well under the threshold for any healthy caloric deficit. If you are only eating 200-600 calories in your day, with the additional subtraction of all the physical activities you have also done, your not only starving yourself severly but also eating almost nothing every day. These kinds of caloric restrictions are typically signs of a preliminary eating disorder, or some other personal and emotional issue. There is not need to rush, no only because you can only go at your bodies pace at burning fat but also there is a huge lack of self-acceptance and security for you to feel the need to go this far just to please other people.Take it easy, good things take time.
- No none of that sounds healthy. At 5'2" you should 800-1500 calories a day. (Somewhere in between would probably be best. I have no idea what color guard is but if all that stuff is physical and the most you get is 600 calories then your body is probably freaking out and in starvation mode.Honestly you could lprobably benefit from eating up to 2000 calories for a while. If your worried about gettig fat just dont eat junk for and stick to healthy low fat foods with lots of protein.
