How to lose weight fast?

So my mom and I have a bet to see who can lose 20 lbs fastest. Do any of you have suggestions? Don't suggest anorexia or anything though. I don't find that funny

How many times a week should a teen work out?

I power walk five days a week for 30 minutes to lose fat and then I lift some 3 pound weights (10 reps for each of the three weight workouts so 30 all together) then I do 20 push-ups, 100 reps of ab workout plus another twenty and if I need to take a rest then I'll usually take a drink of water & stretch.I'm planning on doing this four days a week, but how many times should I do this? My workout isn't as intense as it sounds & my body does get a lot of rest :) please no negative answers, thank you.

Why do people that smoke get such a hard time, but fat people...?

Get a free pass? Why is it socially acceptable to tell someone that they're gross and disgusting for smoking cigarettes in their own free time, but it's not acceptable to tell some morbidly obese person that they're disgusting and killing themselves quicker than cigarettes would?And for that matter, why do obese people get handicap parking strictly for being obese? Shouldn't they be forced to park in the back of the (Walmart) parking lot so that they would have to walk farther? You don't eat yourself into a disability.

  • Actually cigarettes are much more harmful. I wish they would ban cigarettes forever. Like 2nd hand smoke is bad for people. Obese people don't have a "2nd hand" thing if you know what I mean
  • From a public health standpoint I think obesity is a much bigger problem. For one thing you must eat to survive (unlike smoking).Imaging telling an addict they had to quit, but giving them just a little bit of their drug every day for the rest of their life.

  • Obese people don't threaten my health or impact my enjoyment of the locale by eating a big mac within 3 meters of me. I can't say the same about a smoker. A smoker puffing away within 3 meters is likely to involve a lot of coughing by me and any bystanders in proximity to this guy's cloud of exhaust.
